"There For You" as written by Sameer Bhattacharya, James Culpepper, Jared Hartmann, Lacey Nicole Sturm and Kirkpatrick Seals....
Sometimes I'm selfish fake
You're always a true friend
And I don't deserve you
'Cause I'm not there for you
Please forgive me again

I wanna be there for you
Someone you can come to
Runs deeper than my bones
I wanna be there for you
I wanna be there for you

Swirling shades of blue
Slow dancing in your eyes
Sun kisses the earth
And I hush my urge to cry, cry

I wanna be there for you
Someone you can come to
Runs deeper than my bones
I wanna be there for you
I wanna be there for you

Cause I hear the whispered words
In your masterpiece beautiful
You speak the unspeakable
I love you, too

I wanna be there for you
Someone you can come to

I wanna be there for you
And be someone you can come to
The love runs deeper than my bones
And I, I wanna be there for you

My InterpretationGuys, I don't honestly think this song is about God, more for a friend. I mean, No one knows the color of God's eyes.

    Swirling shades of blue
    Slow dancing in your eyes
    The sun kisses the earth
And I hush my urge to cry

How can someone be there for God? God doesn't need you for advice because he knows everything.

I wanna be there for you
    someone you can come to
    runs deeper than my bones
I wanna be there for you
I wanna be there for you

General CommentI think maybe shes in a relationship with someone where the other person has always been there to nurture and solve her problems but she now feels she wants to repay it by listening to their problems.
"And I hush my urge to cry, cry"
This line could be about her holding back her own emotions for once, so she can listen to the other persons.

General CommentThis is a really beautiful song that I love sooooooooo much. Actually this is the song that really got me hooked on Flyleaf. Their lyrics are really beautiful and powerful, simple but complex.
I believe that this is a song is about true love & friendship and wanting to be there for that friend no matter what happens in life. Through all the hard times, that friend has been there for you and even though you might not have always been there for them, you want to tell them how much you appreciate them. I loved this song so much that I even dedicated it and Broken Wings( also by Flyleaf) to my best friend. Flyleaf rocks!

General CommentI have a different version of this song.

    Sometimes I'm a selfish fake
    You're always a true friend
    I don't deserve you
'Cause I'm not there for you
Though I wish I would be

I wanna be there for you
And be someone you can come to

    Swirling shades of blue
    Slow dancing in your sky
    The sun kisses the earth
And I hush my urge to cry

'Cause I hear the whispered words
    Within your masterpiece beautiful
    You speak the unspeakable through
    I love you too

I wanna be there for you
And be someone you can come to
The love runs deeper than my bones
'Cause you are beautiful don't you know

Well sometimes your friends are there for you, but you not there for them, but u aware of that. Mayb shes just like me, cause im scared to become close to people, but after a while your friend wants something back.

General CommentI don't like the very beginning, it's a tad cliche. But this song is so frickin addictive! It's been stuck in my head for the past week.

Like Raindropsonroses said, I think it's about being afraid of getting close to people. She wants to be close to the person, but feels unworthy of them.

General CommentI think that this is a song to God, talking about how someone messes up, but always returns back and asks forgiveness, saying that they want to be there too, instead of wandering off from him.

Like in the first verse she says I don't deserve you, and forgive me, which are both often things said in Christians' prayers.

When I saw them live, in the middle of this song, Lacey got down on her knees and sang the chorus of a worship song that says,
"I'm falling on my knees, offering all of me,
Jesus you're all this heart is living for"

I'm not sure that video will work.
