As I watch you doze away
You slept through minutes and hours and days
Your breath becomes quiet and still
So still
I'll wake you from your bed
The night is young and the sky overhead
Will burn but not for long
So here's your song
Here's my lullaby
Designed to wake you up
I'll conduct an orchestra
Of crickets and mice to squeak through the night
Until the world awakes as one
And no one will be afraid
Of the monsters and goyles that lurk in the way
And I can feed this world, can feast
Here's my lullaby
Designed to wake you up
Don't you close your eyes
The world has sealed them shut again
Do you wanna be sung sleep
I prefer to slaughter the sheep
You count each night it seems
And waste a thousand dreams
Here's my lullaby
Designed to wake you up
Don't you close your eyes
The world has sealed them shut
This is the great awakening
