I see you walking home alone
Your face is alive and bright
But you can't see how weak you are
'Cause I could end it tonight

It's the feeling you get when you think
That someone behind is watching you
Well I can tell you know that someone is me
And I'm about to make it right

Why do you take it all, why do I beg for more
I never thought that this is how I'd hit the floor
Why do you take it all, why do I beg for more
I never thought that this is how I'd hit the floor

I creep up from behind
Touch your neck, move down your spine
You take a look and breathe so sharp
Just a matter of time

Don't scream I ask of you
But then you let one out so know its time to go
I come down on you like a ton of bricks
All over so its time to go

Why do you take it all, why do I beg for more
I never thought that this is how I'd hit the floor
Why do you take it all, why do I beg for more
I never thought that this is how I'd hit the floor

Hit the floor, oh
Whoa
Whoa, oh
Whoa,oh

Why do you take it all, why do I beg for more
I never thought that this is how I'd hit the floor
Why do you take it all, why do I beg for more
I never thought that this is how I'd hit the floor

Take this from me, I don't wanna hurt you
Take this from me, I don't wanna hurt you

ok, by the lyrics the evident front meaning of this song IS about him 'stalking' her. However, i believe that this song is a sort of double entendre. I think the song is about a girl who left him and he is obsessed with her and loves her. She is happy but he is deluded into thinking she isn't and he wants to 'set her free.' Again coming back to the idea he is obsessed with her.

I see you walking home alone Your face is alive and bright This obviously means she is happy, maybe shes 'walking home' from her boyfriends house and he is watching her.

But you can't see how weak you are 'cause i could end it tonight. She doesn't know hes there. He knows her life is in his hands. He has the opportunity to get revenge and hes toying with himself. Should he do it?

It's the feeling you get when you think that someone behind is watching you Well i can tell you know that someone is me and i'm about to make it right. She feels him. he know she thinks theres someone there so he must be quick. 'Make it right' meaning hes going to kill her because if he cant have her then no one should.

Why do you take it all? why do i beg for more? I never thought that this is how i'd hit the floor He's angry. Shes taken everything from him but its like he wants her to keep doing it. He cant forget her he needs to be in her life. Obsession. He thought they would be together forever, he never thought that this is how his life with her would end up. "hit the floor'-- he's breaking down, deluded, angry.

I creep up from behind, touch your neck move down your spine you take a look and breathe so sharp just a matter of time.

He wants her close. He's remembering their memories, what she means to him. I think this is an argument they had. Hes going to snap, maybe hes losing his temper after she tells him shes leaving him.

Don't scream i ask of you but then you let one out so now its time to go I come down on you like a ton of bricks all over so it's time to go

She's making him angry, he snaps, he hits her? but instantly,he feels bad. Hes sorry for what he's done but shes screaming at him. Shes going to leave him. He's upset and he doesnt want to hurt her anymore.

Take this from me, I don't wanna hurt you Take this from me, I DON'T WANNA HURT YOU!!!!

He cant do it.He wanted revenge but now he just wants her to be happy. Its time for him to let go. I think this part of the song comes back to the first verse. throughout the song hes thinking about how things could have planned out. He could have killer her. But then i think he realises that he doesn't really want to. Shes taken away his world but he knows its his partially fault. He cant blame her. Shes happy now, just what he wanted. He's just upset that it wasn't with him.

Ok, so thats my interpretation of this song. Maybe im thinking too deep, i don't know. I could be totally wrong but hope it helps.

    Song Meaning

Honestly, (and remember this is my opinion,) I think this song is about a vampire who has fallen in love with a human girl. For one vampires have the ability to incredibly strong, note: "I see you walking home alone your face is alive and bright but you can't see how weak you are 'coz I can end it tonight." Also there is the fact that the song describes the feeling of being watched, and how He snekas up on her so quietly that she doesn't notice him until he touches her neck and spine. Note: "it's the feeling you get when you think that someone behind is watching you well I can tell you now that someone is me and I'm about to make it right," also, "I creep up from behind touch your neck move down your spine you take a look and breathe so sharp just a matter of time don't scream I ask of dear but then you let one out so no it's time to go." Remember this is my interpretation based on opinion. I am not sure that this is what the song is about, but it seemed logical to me.

O.K. this is definatley about rape you guys. There are a few key points that solidify the postition, such as when he says "Don't scream I ask of you but then you one so I know it's time to go, it comes out on you like a tonne of bricks" that's towards the end of it when he "finishes" with her. Then there's also the part where he says "Take it from me, I don't want to hurt you" signifying that, yes, he wants it and she doesn't, but also that they might have had a pre-exsisting relationship and doesn't want to hurt her.

Little Corrections: It's not "how I lived before" but "How I Hit the Floor"!

I think its about how being in a relationship wid a woman who is just beautiful, but selfish or shallow deep inside. He says he can end it tonight because hes probly in a relationship with her n shes probly "leeching" off him for material things like money.

The chorus, "why do i beg for more" is probly bout how he duznt no why he liked her in the 1st place and the "hit the floor" part is probly how he found out bout da mistake he made.

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.

Midnight
Ed Sheeran
“Midnight” is a song about finding a love that is so true that it provides a calming feeling through every storm. Ed Sheeran reflects on his good fortunes in landing someone with such peace and support and speaks of not fearing the dark days because he knows they’ll all end in the safety nets of her arms. “Well, good morning there / What a way to start the day / With everything laid bare,” Ed Sheeran sings in the first verse, enthusiastic to be waking up beside his woman. He apologizes for missing her calls in the second verse and promises to return them because for him, speaking to her is the most important thing. “Well, I get lost inside my head / In this chaos, you’re my calm / And I will find my feet again / ‘Cause еven the worst days of my life will always еnd / At midnight in your arms,” sings Ed Sheeran in the chorus, revelling in his good luck.
