"Versus Terminus" as written by and Jesper Claes Haakan/gelotte Stroemblad....
When all is said and done
We know what's right, what's wrong
But does it matter then
When all is said and done?

When all is dead and gone
We know who lost, who won
But does it matter then
When all is dead and gone?

See everything go
End of all things
The life that we know
Shift your point of view
You've been warned
This one-way ticket is for you

When all the lights go out
We'll know what life's about
But does it matter then
When all the lights go out?

When all the laughter dies
We'll see nothings and realize
But does it matter then
When all the laughter dies?

See everything go
End of all things
The life that we know
Shift your point of view
You've been warned
This one-way ticket is for you

When all the laughter dies
We'll see nothings and realize
But does it matter then
When all the laughter dies?

See everything go
End of all things
The life that we know
Shift your point of view
You've been warned
This one-way ticket is for you

General CommentHere's the lyrics, as far as I can hear. 'course, can't know foru sure until the album is out.

As far as meaning goes, I think it's about living in the now, and not spending your life overanalyzing everything, because it won't matter in the end.

General CommentVery powerful song. I think he's saying that eventually we will all realise the mistakes we made in the world...but by that time it may be too late. I think the first verse pretty much sums up the meaning of the song.

It's a great song, as is every song on the album.

General CommentForgot to add...Versus Terminus is Latin I believe. In English it translates to 'Against the End' or something along those lines, 'the end' meaning the end of life or the world which is a theme expressed in many of the songs on the album particularly Dead End.

    General CommentGreat lyrics.
It seems to be about the aftermath of something big, perhaps the words of a person on his deathbed.
The chorus is a warning to people who are wasting their lives, or who are living in a moronic way.

General CommentMy favorite of CC, definitely.
By the way, I remember that this song had a different name, before the album was released (a list of songs where put up on IF's website, and at a later time they had replaced one of the songs with this one. I'm assuming it's the same song). Does anyone remember what it was called before?

General Commentanswering varulf's question, I think Versus Terminus was "End Of All Things"..

General CommentFirst of all, "versus terminus" is latin indeed, but versus doesn´t mean "against" or "vs" in this context, in reality it means "all" "comlete". "Versus" Terminus is a 100% translation of the former english title of the song (end of all things").

    Now to the meaning:
I think it´s about how wrong it can be to fight for your rights all the time and forget about your ideals and the true reason why you started fighting at all. We should more focus on the bright spots in life as long as we can, instead to fight all the time.

General CommentThese lyrics aren't nearly as ambiguous and In Flame's lyrics can get and usually are. Much more strait forward. This isn't a bad thing since the song is conveying a very powerful message. I also like the rhyme schemes employed in the verses. I love the riff that first kicks in at about 1:53 and then once more before the song ends.

General CommentHaha, random comment here, but I'm part of another site where someone had their username as the song title. I always found it familiar, but could never pin-point its location.

    Awesome song.
