"Soul Burn" as written by and Fredrik/haake Thordendal....
Inner perception trapped in a soul cage
Human wreckage I leave my liquid face
Who am I senses blurred who's my mind
In this life obscured
Visual progressions leave me no peace
Subliminal merger clutch the
Fence of needs
What's there in desperation what's real
Flawless confusion

Void of emptiness reign my truth
Before my eyes flashes of youth
Memory-nuances pass where's my life
Frayed pictures mass
Insidious deception feelings fade
Ravenous mirrors I praise the
Blackened day
What am I to reality what's in line
Subsequently

Forever turning through a lifetime
Endless burning of soul and mind
Step by step I'm taken through the past
To burn in fear of lies I'm lost mouldering
Oblivions grasp makes my soul burn
Burn

This astray mind has sieged my soul
Forever chained to this tearing cold
I'll never tell the truth from lies
Disbelief covers my eyes I'm lost mouldering
Perpetual pain in this soul burn

Pieces to me strange wrapped up disguise
Reflections of myself in another life

I see it vague before my eyes
Pictures drawn of naked bare lies
It makes no sense to live this mess
Constant until I find my rest
Enemy within a soul in flames
Gaining its pulse breeding inside
Pressure increase drowns my belief
As I unveil myself in me
Burn

General CommentI think the song is about the inability of humans to figure things out for themselves because of society. THe inability to have a completely open mind. That for our entire lives our souls burn because of the confusion of our lives

My InterpretationAfter this song I became aware that I have a Soul Burn.

I think this is the best song(especially lyrics) of Meshuggah, I praise them.

Confusion absolutely rules our lives, if not what could?
We are unable to see the truth, however we often try not to tell the truth from lies
Again confusion reigns as a result...
What is this life to us? How do we stop the enemy from breeding inside?
    Can we?
Disbelief makes things hard to see, we have refused to be moulded by religious ideas.
But what, except religion, can shape us? Our constant search for truth makes our face liquid.
Subliminal Merger, our subconscious mind is our true enemy.
We must overcome ourselves to stop this soul burn. But do we really want?

Hail Meshuggah, you are the best

General CommentThe most amazing song EVER!! It's sooo technical and downright fucked up! it took me so long to figure this one out, i still haven't got the shots down yet during that ridiculously crazy solo. All I can say is wow, these guys are freaks hahah, as for the lyrics they are like other Meshuggah, pretty good, and often requiring a dictionary haha. but great song, Meshuggah is one of the best metal bands evaa.

General Comment@Residence You should Start off with the BASICS:

    Album------Songs:

[Chaosphere]: "New Millennium Cyanide Christ" - "Sane"
[Destroy Erase Improve]: "Future Breed Machine" - "Beneath"

Start with those, K? Meshuggah Rules.
