The moon sheds light
when all is dark
the dog's reaction is to bark
Is that the moon's fault?
Tell me true
Tis the dog's nature
So to do
The moonlight fills all heaven with mirth

The dog's a vapour
Belched by earth
The dog's a vapour
Belched by earth

There's something in you

Tis the dog's nature
So to do
The moonlight fills all heaven with mirth
The dog's a vapour
There's something in you

The dog's a vapour
The dog's a vapour
Belched by earth

The dog's in you

General CommentI think this song means that there is something inside of all of us that is a primitive instinct not to question, just to do. It also could mean in an abstract sort of way that while we are so small and insignificant in the grand scheme of things, that we are also extremely important because the smallest difference in what happens could start a chain reaction and change the entire universe.
