"Losing A Friend" as written by and Nina Elisabet Persson Anders Peter Svensson....
You're losing a friend
You got it all wrong
It's not about revenge
But you're losing a friend

I didn't see it coming
With my head stuck in the sand
But now I'm losing a friend

And it's keeping me up
It's the ribbons I tied
I would rather just die
Go to hell and crawl back
Than let you go

You're losing a friend
You jeopardize me
Bad bad blood on your hands
And see, you're losing a friend

I'm fickle and I'm vain
And you trick me over and over again
And now I'm losing you

And it's killing me
It's the strings that I tie
I would rather just die
Go to hell and crawl back
Then let it all go

My mistake
To lose you

Oh no, oh no!
So this the end now
I'm losing you
Oh, look at you!
Look what you're wasting
You're losing a friend
Oh no, oh no!
I'm losing a friend
Oh, oh oh no

General CommentThis is rather obviously about losing a friend through less-than-fortunate circumstances. Not my favorite song but still good. I particularly like the line, "I'm fickle and I'm vain and you trick me over and over again."

General CommentFor some reason after listening to this song a few times, I get the impression that it's not just a friend she's talking about, but maybe a friend with benefits. Although it may have started out as a no strings attached deal, she seems to be getting attached ("It's the ribbons I tied") - especially because she's "fickle and vain" and he "tricks her over and over again" into thinking that it's something more serious.

So I think the whole song is just her being torn on whether to stick around with this type of relationship or let him go ("I would rather just die go to hell and crawl back than let you go").

General Commentit is about breakups. when you breakup with someone you arent just losing a lover, you are losing a friend.

General CommentI love the song but I don't really find who to blame.. I figure out two friends who were so united and all.. but then.. a mistake, an error... changed everything... It's like an inconcluse guilt, "you're losing a friend... I'm losing a friend" .. ummm...

I could think at first, she was the one to blame.. "I'd rather just die, go to hell and crawl back than let you go" but then she says... "look at you.. look what you're wasting" and turns the table again.

I'm in love with this cuz something like this actually happened to me... I used to blame my friend.. but then, I realized it didn't matter at all.. and then I wondered if I was doing the right thing. however,, none of both tried to do a thing later and... I lost a friend. She lost a friend. :/

My Interpretationreminds me of when you're in a relationship with your best friend and you can't break up with them because you can never go back to being friends afterword.
