"Callbacks" as written by and Cain/murray/tapper....
I guess that I should probably leave right now
'Cause I'm already kind of sweating and freaking out
I got a time-bomb headache that's ticking down
I guess that everything's better when I'm not around

It's all out of context
It's nothing I'm into
Call it a complex
It's really quite simple
I'm tired of these hangups
I wish somebody would call me back
How about it?

Well, my tongue is tired
And I'm seeing stars
I got a million ugly words for what you are
I got a busted back
And a broken heart
I guess that everything is better wherever you are

It's all out of context
It's nothing I'm into
Call it a complex
It's really quite simple
I'm tired of these hangups
I wish somebody would call me back
How about it?

It's all out of context
It's nothing I'm into
Call it a complex
It's really quite simple
I'm tired of these hangups
I wish somebody would call me back
And I'm so sorry to bring you down

I guess that everything's better when I'm not around
And I'm so sorry to bring you down
I guess that everything's better when I'm not around
And I'm so sorry to bring you down
I guess that everything's better when I'm not around

General Commentthis song is really summed up by one word. 'frustration'. the acknowledging that sombody is frustrating him and its a story again about love and the deception of it, he is too rejective to stay around and gets frustrated of his inability.

General CommentThis is one of the few tolerable songs on True Crime: New York City. Great song. Why isn't anything like this ever played on the radio?

General Commentmaybe this guy is just freaking out for no reason.

i know this, because i do this all the time.

You get damn frustrated, not necessarily because of something your lover did, but because you may have some insecurities of some sort about being in the relationship.

It just seems like someone is very frustrated by their insecurities, and all I can say to that is welcome to the club.

General CommentBoney: It always reminded me of the whole acting business. o_o You know, how if they think you're good, they'll call you back? Mayhaps he's having employment issues.

It could also refer to the dating scene. He's sick and tired of going out on one date and never seeing her again because she never returns his calls.

    Much fun to sing. :hartforthissong:
