"Love Them Like Jesus" as written by John Mark Hall and Bernie Herms....
The love of her life is drifting away
Their losing the fight for another day
The life that she's known is falling apart
A fatherless home, a child's broken heart
You're holding her hand
You're straining for words
You're trying to make sense of it all
She's desperate for hope
Darkness clouding her view
She's looking to you

Just love her like Jesus
Carry her to him
His yoke is easy
His burden is light
You don't need the answers
To all of life's questions
Just know that He loves her
Stay by her side
And love her like Jesus
Love her like Jesus

The gifts lie in wait in a room painted blue
A little blessing from heaven will be there soon
Hope fades into night,
Blue skies turn into gray
As the little one slips away
You're holding her hand
You're straining for words
You're trying to make sense of it all
They're desperate for hope
Darkness clouding their view
They're looking to you

Just love her like Jesus
Carry her to him
His yoke is easy
His burden is light
You don't need the answers
To all of life's questions
Just know that He loves her
Stay by her side
And love her like Jesus
Love her like Jesus

Lord of all creation holds our life in His hand
The God of all the nations holds our lives in His hands
The rock of our salvation holds our lives in His hands
He cares for them just as He cares for you.

So love them like Jesus
Love them like Jesus
You don't need the answers
To all of life's questions
Just know that He loves them
Stay by their side

Love them like Jesus
Love them like Jesus
Love them like Jesus
Love them like Jesus

General Commentthere are times when you are forced to stand there and watch your friends and ppl that you love make "stupid" choices in life. no matter how much you want to help them, you can't because they believe that they don't need help. this song to me... talks about how you need to remind yourself to just stay by them, to love them like Jesus, to not judge them, to be there for them no matter how hard it gets...

General CommentI love this song, it has touched me so much. I work at a nursing home and there are some days when you see things and think "God what is the reason to let these people end up here like this?" I know I couldn't work there without him guiding me, holding my hand to hold theirs and just be with them, offer hope, prayer and to just love them like Jesus wants me to.

General CommentI was flying home from vacation in florida, i turned this song on my ipod and... it hit me so hard that i started crying right there in the seat. I'm a 25 year-old man in the military and this song floored me.

"The life that she's known is falling apart
    A fatherless home, a child's broken heart"

The hardest part of this song, is knowing that some children endure heartbreak like this. And how can we as other broken people help in a situation such as a lost mother trying to hold on to the broken pieces of her life? The answer this song rightfully gives is Jesus.

Praise the Lord, he is our helper in times of need.

General CommentI really don't like Casting Crowns...at all.
    BUT.
This song is good. I heard it on the radio, and despite the band, It's got a good message. It's sad.
