"Inaction" as written by and Cain/murray/tapper....
Call on the Fates; this'll take a second
While I fall on my face like everyone else
And we can talk all we want, but all I can say
Is that I'm sorry and I'm sorry
But I'm never gonna do it again

Counting on my relative friends
When this keeps coming up again and again
If everybody knows how it's gonna end
Why doesn't someone stop me?

Because I'm sick of waking up on your floor
For the sixth or seventh night in a row
I'm lying next to you in all of my clothes
Someone stop me

It's hard to rely on the rhythm section
When they're all packing up and they're heading for the exit
Yeah, we're all just the same, a bunch of slaves to fashion
Who are tall, dark, and scared, and just praying for some action

How am I supposed to know what makes this happen?
How am I supposed to know what makes this happen?
How am I supposed to know what makes this happen?
How am I supposed to know what makes this happen?

I'm counting on my relative friends (inaction)
'Cause this keeps coming up again and again (inaction)
If everybody knows how it's gonna end (inaction)
Why doesn't someone stop me? (inaction)

Because I'm sick of waking up on your floor (inaction)
For the sixth or seventh night in a row (inaction)
I'm lying next to you in all of my clothes
Someone stop me

I can't keep counting on my relative friends (inaction)
'Cause this keeps coming up again and again (inaction)
If everybody knows how it's gonna end (inaction)
Why doesn't someone stop me? (inaction)

Because I'm sick of waking up on your floor (inaction)
For the sixth or seventh night in a row (inaction)
I'm lying next to you in all of my clothes
Someone stop me

General CommentWow. This is the first really rocking song of 2006! I ordered the CD from Amazon and it should come tomorrow! It' my first CD purchase of the year! If the rest of the CD is similar to this jump-up-and-dance energy, I will be quite pleased.

The video for this was actually played on MTV2. I recommend anyone who likes this song to check it out.

General CommentTo me this song's about being a musician wnd waiting to make it big in the music biz, but everything keeps going awry. The audience walks out on u in the middle of a song, you can only hope your friends will come to your shows and stay, you become so poor you cant even afford your own place to stay. then you feel like an idiot and wish that someone stopped you from embarrissing yourself

General CommentI definitely have to agree that this is about the whole party scene. :3 The singer keeps promising that he'll never drink again and he'll never go to another one of these parties, but he keeps doing it anyways.

He's counting on his friends to get him to a safe place to pass out and the like, but they're getting tired of taking care of him time and time again.

So, he gets frustrated. Everyone knows that if he goes to these parties and drinks, it's going to end up badly-- so why the hell doesn't anyone stop him?!

It switches into the band scene. Maybe they're kind of an amateur band, but the lead singer is already immersing himself so much in the high life that they can barely practice, so the band is packing up and heading for the exit.

Which leads, of course, to stress, so he drinks more! How is he supposed to know?!

I heaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaart this song. @_@ One of my favourites. n3n
