"New Promise" as written by Burton C. Bell, Raymond Herrera and Christian Olde Wolbers....
Understand, understand
That I will keep you safe
From every scar that bleeds
I will keep you free
From all that's hurting me
This I promise, this I promise
This I promise, this I promise

I promise, I promise
One more time
This I swear
Trust in me
My faith is sincere

Love is stronger
When the end is near
Then there will be
Nothing more to fear

I promise, I promise
Trust in these
Love life hands
You need me
To help you stand
I can release you
From your pain dear
Then there will be
Nothing more to fear

I promise this, I promise this
I promise this, I promise
I promise this, I promise this
I promise this, I promise

Love is stronger
When the end is near
I can release you
From your pain dear

Understand, understand
I promise, I promise
I promise this, I promise this
I promise this, I promise
Promise

General Commentdue to listening to this song a lot during a strange part in my life it means (to me atleast) trying to convince someone you love that you do and you will be there for them even if they aint intrested in you the way they are to you.

General Commenti remember reading an interview with burt in it and he said he was based off of the Terry Schivo(SP) case and how hes simulating it as her father whispering into her ear the lyrics before he pulls the chord....

    ... very sad.

ii thought it was and still do think.
that, you know, love is stronger when the end is near.
and the end comes when the machines take over!
