"Immortal" as written by Jason Mcevoy, Mike Victory and Bruce Young....
Two lifes, one fate
I have to leave
So will you follow me?
That's how it's meant to be
I reigned as God
I'm monumental
Soon I will arise
With you by my side
And we will radiate the skies
He who will gaze our lights
Will kill his mind, his vision blind

Tonight we are stars
Stars that shine on bright
Tonight we are stars
Stars immortal light
Tonight we are stars

All treasures all goods
We bury where we lay down to die
And pay for paradise
Await the highest thorn of all
And who will gaze our lights
Will kill his mind, is going blind

Tonight we are stars
Stars that shine on bright
Tonght we are stars
Stars inside the nights of ache
Love and hate
Hope and shade
Take you away

I will take you away
I'm gonna take you away
I'm gonna take you away

Tonight we are stars
Stars that shine on bright
Tonight we are stars
Stars immortal light of ache
Light of hate
Hope and shade
Part of the fate
Tonight we are stars

General CommentThis is one of the most beautiful love songs ever. One of my favorites. I love how even though this is probably their heaviest album to date, it still carries beautiful songs too.

General CommentIt's about an important person, maybe a king (I like to think about a pharaoh), which always had power and luxuries, and a wife i think.
"...I reigned as God, Im monumental Soon I will arise
With you by my side..." "...All treasures all goods
We bury where we lay down to die
    And pay for paradise..."

but when the time to leave has come, he don't wan't to die alone, he want to take desperately with him this beloved person.
"Take you away, Im gonna take you away
    I will take you away"

In my opinion this is one of the bests songs of helloween, so intense, so well done musically... it's great!

General CommentYeah, I have to agree this is one of the best Helloween songs. It's got that mysterious, dark, and intense quality to it. But what's the meaning of the song? I think there's no meaning. I think it's just a nice play of words to have a beautiful sounding ring to it. Why? Aren't there any songs like that? The music is great, and Deris' voice is very emotional in this song.

General CommentA beautiful song about tragedy (in my opinion). I interpret it as somebody dying followed by their loved one. In a poetic but scientific truth, we are all 'starstuff' and therefore immortal. A beautiful way of saying we will die but become one and live on forever.
