There’s this guy I know
He’s not doing so well
And I don’t think he’d mind
If you called just to tell
Him you love him.
I think that would help him.

He’s been down for days
And I don’t know what to do
He’s been holding his pillow like it’s you
His state’s so depressing
His room smells like crying

And I know,
He loves you more than breathing
More than being happy.
I know,
He loves you like it’s tearing him apart.

There’s a guy outside your window
With a cracked guitar
And a broken heart
But I don’t think you hear him, though
I don’t think you hear him…
And he’s been going where the wind blows
He’s taken shelter by your house
But you’re not coming out
My best friend says “Believe”

He walks by your house every night around 12
Sits a block away- a safe distance
He dwells on mixed feelings
He thinks about dying.

He talks to himself, but he’s talking to you
In his head you can hear him like this
Through the curtains and window
He bids you good night now.

My best friend says
Believe in everything that you’ve got going on
Just believe in Me!
Just believe in Me!
And “Need”, now there’s a word that you can’t comprehend
But know it lives with Me!
Know it lives.

My only friend is a guy outside your window…

I definitely think 'this guy' is him... and the relationship had been going on so long that he lost his best friend, and now he has himself as his only and best friend.

It's pretty obvious that 'this guy' is him..I was checking out his profile on myspace...he writes a lot of sad songs after the 'love of his life of 3 years' broke up with him for a complete stranger...

Yeah, this song is pretty good. But, I'm trying not to listen to it because my 'ex' is obsessed with this song >.<

But, it's still a good song.

His entire album is about his journey out on his own, right through where she broke up with him and the aftermath. So obviously it's him.

you guys are right when you say that it's about him. he said before he played it that "this is a song i wrote for myself" haha. it was cute and this song is really good but- "His room smells like crying" that is funny to me. what does crying smell like? but the rest of the song makes up for it haha.

ronnie day is no doubt incredibly talented, but goddamn, his lyrics lack subtlety. "His room smells like crying"?? lol sorry, but i almost laughed at that. he's not even trying to rhyme it w/ anything, so why not make it something like "the scent of stale tears" or SOMETHING?

[haha & i wrote this right before i read what daystoforget wrote... great stuff]

his songs are really good, but the theme of "jamie broke my heart" gets really old really fast. someone this talented has GOT to have a little more depth than this...

this is definitely a religious song, and the him he's talking about is God. notice all the 'he's and 'him's are capitalized.. and the phrase 'just believe in Me.' he's saying that God is talking to you, but you can't hear him/don't know he's there.

i love this song soo much the line about him holding the pillow like it was her just really makes me so sad this song is amazing and i can really relate to it right now its just get a meaning ive been looking for and when he says his room smells of crying it just makes me feel so sad for him i dont think its funny tbh its like all he does is cry and when he comes into his room the normal sent that is his own has been replaced by the smell of crying so his smell is not his anymore its the smell of crying its like this best friend was his all and now there gone he has to change everyhting so it wont remind him of who hes lost sao he changes it so its more depressing instead of him he can only see his room as a place where he can let it all out he can cry and miss the person hes lost his room is not his own its a memorial of what hes lost i just love this song so much and it really says how i feel tbh its just amazing. He talks to himself, but he's talking to you mann i know how it feels you have conversations with someone in your head to try and make it better to make it seem like there still there but there gone and all you have to do is move on but you cant so you talk to them in your head like there here like your not alone like your not inasne but really depression has taken over you and all thats left of you is the memory of who you use to be when you werent alone :\

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
