"Vision Of Division" as written by and Julian Casablancas....
Sing me a song you can be
Tell me a tale just like me
To turn in my way, I'm being free
I'll try not to shake, I'm being free

Oh ooh
All that I do is wait for you
All that I do is wait for you
I can't get along with all your friends
Dont know how to act, that's all there is
Why do I accept the things you say?
You know what to change
But not in what way

How long must I wait?
How long must I wait?
How long must I wait?
How long must I wait?
How long must I wait?

I am not you, we could have fun
I'm almost through, great success
It's about time, I'm such a success
That you came through, with no expense

Oh ooh
All that I do is wait for you
All that I do is wait for you
I can't get away from all your friends
I'm not coming back, that's all there is
Why do I accept the things you say?
You know what to change
But not in what way

How long must I wait?
How long must I wait?
How long must I wait?
How long must I wait?
How long must I wait?

General Commenthave you tried reading the lyrics in the cd booklet.
they are in two different colours: white and black.
if you continue to read just the white lyrics it kinda makes sense. same with the black ones

    eg:

    SING ME A SONG
    you could be
    TELL ME A TALE
    just like me
    DON'T TURN IT MY WAY
    happy and free
    I'LL TURN IT TO SHIT
    happy and free...
all that I do is wait for you

and then further on in the song

    I AM NOT YOU
    we could have
    I'M ALMOST THROUGH
    great success
    IT'S ABOUT TIME
    such a success
    THAT YOU CAME THROUGH

    pretty clever i think. lol.

General Commenti like how the lyrics are divided into two perspectives:

Sing me a song, you could be
Tell me a tale, just like me
Don't turn in my way, happy and free
I'll turn it to shit, happy and free

    clever

General CommentThis song has a very weird chorus melody... it sort of chromatically ratchets down a note every 2 bars, but only the last note. I'm not entirely sure I like it...

The main riff, however, is just spectacularly cool sounding. And the chorus is totally stuck in my head, which is a good sign. The part where the band kicks in with "I can't get along with all your friends..." just rules.

General Commentlyrics are wrong, about julian only sees the negative side of things, and when he meets someone that happy and free
he put no effort, or expense into this
"i cant get along with your friends" i think friends, hes meaning friends in his wacked mind

General Commenti think its about his visions if he got involved in a certain relationships, of what would be the problems, because ths person she free and happy and he isnt so he would haveto change his ways
