You never looked so good
As you did last night
Underneath the city lights
There, walking with your friend
Laughing at the moon
I swear you looked right through me

But I'm still living with your goodbye
And you're just going on with your life

How can you just walk on by
Without one tear in your eye?
Don't you have the slightest feelings left for me?
Maybe that's just your way
Of dealing with the pain
Forgetting everything between our rise and fall
Like we never loved at all

You, I hear you're doing fine
Seems like you're doing well
As far as I can tell
Time is leaving us behind
Another week has passed
And still I haven't laughed yet

So tell me
What your secret is
(I wanna know, I wanna know, I wanna know)
To letting go, letting go like you did
Like you did

How can you just walk on by
Without one tear in your eye
Don't you have the slightest feelings left for me?
Maybe that's just your way
Of dealing with the pain
Forgetting everything between our rise and fall
Like we never loved at all

Did you forget the magic?
(Oooh)
Did you forget the passion?
(Ohh-ho)
And did you ever miss me?
Ever long to kiss me?
(Ooh, whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa baby, baby)

Maybe that's just your way of dealing with the pain
Forgetting everything between our rise and fall
Like we never loved
At all
(At all)

This song reminds me of a guy I once "dated". We decided to stop our physical relationship, and although we are still pretty good friends, he still acts like nothing ever happened, or at least doesn't want to think about what happened, like it was the most horrible thing ever. Anyway, gorgeous song.

This song sounds exactly like me and my ex. Especially when she says "I swear you looked right through me" HE acts like we were never together and like I never meant anything to him. I absolutely love this song and it is a definite tear jerker.

This song definitely hits home for me as well and I think that it is going to for anyone who has been in a relationship that didnt work. Just recently a guy that I was "talking" to decided that he had a lot going on and that he just wanted to be friends and I honestly can't believe how devistated I am. Usually I just take everything in stride, count it as the other persons loss and move on. However this time I feel like I can't.

"another week has passed and still I haven't laughed yet. So tell me what your secret is, of letting go, letting go like you did..."

There isn't an hour that goes by that I don't think of him. Just the other night my roommate inquired as to when that last time was that I was actually happy and I couldn't answer her. I wish I knew his "secret" to letting go so that I can do the same.

I seriosuly relate to this song. I dated a coworker (bad idea...) and everything that happened, it made me fall hard. I tihnk this song is talking about how the girl is still loving this guy, and the guy is acting like the break up doesn't affect hima t all. After we broke up, my co worker seriosuly acted like i wasn't even there, and has seemling forgotten evrything that has happened...

"How can you just walk on by Without one tear in your eye? Don't you have the slightest feelings left for me?" O seriosuly always wonder this..

I can definately relate to this song. My boyfriend of two years and I just broke up, and its honestly one of the most painful times of my life. I put everything that I had into that relationship and I believed that all of that effort would be worth it in the end...but all I really got was a broken heart, a telephone call, and empty nights.

And the worst part of it all is that I know that even now as I am sitting here writing and thinking about him, he's let go and moved on. I wish that I knew what his secret was...

This is really one of my favorite songs of Faith Hill. It is the saddest feeling that many of us girls get attached and take a little longer to get over the guy. I wished he just like me.

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."
