"In Front Of Me" as written by and Michael Joe/bottrell Jackson....
She always takes it with a heart of stone
‘Cause all she does is throw it back at me
I’ve spent a lifetime looking for someone

Don’t try to understand me
Simply do the things I say

Love is a feeling
Give it when I want it
‘Cause I’m on fire
Quench my desire
Give it when I want it
Talk to me woman
Give in to me
Give in to me

You always knew just how to make me cry
And never did I ask you questions why
It seems you get your kicks from hurting me

Don’t try to understand me
'Cause your words just are not enough

Love is a feeling
Quench my desire
Give it when I want it
Taken me higher
Love is a woman
Well I don’t wanna hear it
Give in to me
Give in to me

You and your friends are laughing at me in town
But it’s OK
It’s OK

You won’t be laughing girl when I’m not around
I’ll be OK
I’m gonna find some peace of mind

(Give in to me)
(Give in to me)

Love is a feeling
Give it when I want it
‘Cause I’m on fire
Quench my desire
Give it when I want it
Talk to me woman
Give in to me
Give in to me

Love is a feeling
its taken me higher
Give it when I want it
‘Cause I’m on fire
Talk to me woman
Give it when I want it
Give in to me
Give in to me

General CommentI think what the guy means is that he wishes that he can see more about people =/ "I greet the day when i can see two feet in front of me" i mean maybe what he means is theres a person he always sees so he wants to learn more about em.

General CommentI think it's about someone else wanting a relationship to end ("it's a great old time for you to wonder why you are here") and him jsut trying to forget thet they existed so he doesn't have to feel them go ("convince the thought it's not for you") but he can't really go foward without the person helping them ("passing out and falling down") and he jsut wants to be able to make it on his own ("I greet the day where I can see my two feet in front of me").

General CommentThough both of your opinions make sense, I think that it's about the guy wondering about his purpose in life ("there's a great old time for you to wonder why you are here") and where he's going ("to greet a day when I can see two feet in front of me"). There are parts that I don't really get, but maybe "can't stay forever I know it" means that he knows that he can't stay on Earth for as long as he wants. And maybe, "it's not resolving in all these words" means that, he can speak and think about it, but he still doesn't get his purpose in life. "To be free of life if we can stand out in the rain" might mean that when he's in the rain, it's like nothing else is there.

I could take the time to figure out everything else, but my idea seems a bit far-fetched with the lyrics as it is, so I'll just leave you (and myself) to ponder that for a while, hehe.

General CommentThis song was a demo track before their first album, Running Away was a bonus track on one of their CDs, Drugs Don't Work was a cover, and I think TV and a few other songs came out before the band split up and changed their name from Groundswell back in the 90s.
