"Long Long Journey" as written by and Eithne/ryan Ni Bhraonain....
It may be the stars fallen from above
And you know love is with you when you rise
For night and day belong to love

City lights shine on the harbour,
Night has fallen down,
Through the darkness
And the shadow
I will still go on.

Long, long journey
Through the darkness,
Long, long way to go;
But what are miles
Across the ocean
To the heart that's coming home?

Where the road
Runs through the valley,
Where the river flows,
I will follow every highway
To the place I know.

Long, long journey
Through the darkness,
Long, long way to go;
But what are miles
Across the ocean
To the heart that's coming home?

Long, long journey
Out of nowhere,
Long, long way to go;
But what are sighs
And what is sadness
To the heart that's coming home?

(repeat)

    General CommentThis song has helped me through some very difficult times in my life. Especially the lyrics:"through the darkness and the shadow, I will still go on." Makes you feel like no matter how bad things are now, it's only part of that long long journey, and all you have to do is press through the darkness and into the light. Which is ironic because personally I consider darkness to be comforting.

    General CommentOne of the best Enya songs ever
    i´m complained it was not included on The Best of Enya
    the drumes that comes along with the lyrics and the music,
    makes it an almost perfect song

    General CommentFunny thing, I have one of these auto calender backgrounds for my PC that changes the picture every day. The first time I heard this song there was a Lego Lord of The Rings game pic on^^
    It does remind me of TLOTR, but it's also another fantastic, dreamy and emotional song of Enya. Kudos!
