"Dead in the Water" as written by Eron Bucciarelli-tieger, Micah Carli, James Ii Woodruff, Matthew Ridenour and Casey Calvert....
The medicine is blending in it's in the blood with oxygen
I need this right now to figure myself out
Cutting through the ribbons of self doubt
I never thought you'd see me this way
You are the worst and I am to blame

Close the door, lock it tight
They don't know your safe tonight
Turn on a song that means the most
Believe I'm there and hold me close

She is in my bloodstream tonight she's leading me
The moon is filled with red's and blues
I follow where she leads into the darkness
Trying out my fangs, she's a ghost, a silhouette
Calling out my name

These lies we fall into, the pieces I left you
Of your favorite picture torn into two
I never thought we'd end up this way
You are the worst, I am to blame

Close the door, lock it tight
They don't know your safe tonight
Turn on a song that means the most
Believe I'm there and hold me close

She is in my bloodstream tonight she's leading me
The moon is filled with reds and blues
I follow where she leads into the darkness
Trying out my fangs, she's a ghost, a silhouette
Calling out my name

(So close the door and lock it tight
Then I'll know your safe tonight
Turn on the song that means the most
Believe I'm there and hold me close)

Close the door, lock it tight
They don't know your safe tonight
Turn on a song that means the most
Believe I'm there and hold me close

She is in my bloodstream tonight she's leading me
The moon is filled with reds and blues
I follow where she leads into the darkness
Trying out my fangs, she's a ghost, a silhouette
Calling out my name

General CommentI love the way he uses metaphors in this. I agree, everyone does have a song that's special, and I think he's saying that he wants the person to know that he wants them to think of him, and the whole thing with the chorus, I think it's possibly a dream he's having about her, and that he can't stop thinking of her because she IS a part of him. Oh, and I think the line goes, "I follow where she leads into the darkness, DRYING UP MY VEINS..." sounds more like that than the fangs thing...[clare]

    this is good.

"She is in my bloodstream tonight she's leading me"
reminds me of "can you feel her running through your veins" in atreyu's "her portrait in black"
