"Another Kind Of Green" as written by and John Mayer....
Sarah's friend she lost her mind
Left him and made it look sexy and all
You fear I won't be far behind
Thinking I'll be the next to leave
I know I might be anxious
But I'm still not crazy

And I don't need another kind of green to know
I'm on the right side
I'm on the right side with you

I used to be the one you saw
Crying alone to sad songs
But then we go and hit the wall
When nothings changed and nothing's wrong
It's not the perfect hand
But I don't hit on nineteen

And I don't need another kind of green to know
I'm on the right side
I'm on the right side with you

Someday you'll drift away from me
Adopt some new philosophy
That doesn't keep the two of us in mind
Move into someone else's place
And stare into some other's eyes
And slowly only come to realize

That you didn't need another kind of green to know
I'm on the right
Mine was the right side
I'm on the right side with you

I love that line. Don't we all have someone that we picture when we hear a sad song and pretend that the song was written about our heartache with that person.

General CommentAmazing song about settling and the classic "is the grass greener on the other side?" complex.

    "You're not the perfect hand
but I don't hit on nineteen"
I love songs with poetic gambling metaphors.

i love this line, wish i could show my ex-girlfriend it!
makes her saying, i miss what we had sound totally irrelevant.

General CommentThis song is just beautiful. I always question the way I feel in relationships and this song just suits it perfectlly. I could listen to John Mayer and nothing else for the rest of my life and be totally happy.

General CommentThis line bridge is great, and the words are actually:

So go and drift away from here
    Adopt some new philosophy
THAT doesn't hold the two of us in MIND
    Move into someone else's place
    Stare into some other's eyes
But slowly only come to realize
That you didn't need another kind of green to know
    I'm on the right side

So poetically and simply said... Go ahead, leave. tell yourself we weren't that great together, tell yourslef your new man is better. Start a new life. But eventually, you'll be lying in bed next to him, thinking about me... and then you'll know. We worked.
