anything, everything we had is over
i made mistakes, you said goodbye
don't let me catch you crying
anything, everything we had is over
when it falls apart i won't be there, i won't be there

the story starts at our first show
running the door dressed to impress a guy like me, looking good
the conversation started right,
i had you laughing through the night
and i reeled you in, hooked and caught

one stab to the center of your heart
one cut is all you ever need
i don't want this anymore
but you'll never get me

anything, everything we had is over
i made mistakes, you said goodbye
don't let me catch you crying
anything, everything we had is over
when it falls apart i won't be there, i won't be there

fast forward just three days ago
i had it all and i let it go
another reckless night and i hurt you again
and after the fifth or sixth drink
i didn't care what you would think
am i guilty of lust? i'll plead the fifth

one stab to the center of your heart
one cut is all you ever need
i don't want this anymore
but you'll never get me

anything, everything we had is over
i made mistakes, you said goodbye
don't let me catch you crying
anything, everything we had is over
when it falls apart i won't be there, i won't be there

General CommentI think I know what this is...
I think it's the stereotypical 'person ruins relationship, this is my lament.'
    But it's awesome.

General CommentI think this is a story of a guy who cheated some girl. The girl gave him another chance. He did it again. And she left him. The guy doesn't care about her any longer. But the girl still loves him. Basicly the guys an asshole. If I got the story right.

General CommentTo me, the song is about a cheating boyfriend who loves the girl he's with and think she's the world, but he obviously has a drinking problem. She's given him chances before, and she just can't take being hurt another time. It's about how easy it is to hurt someone, tearing relationships apart, and getting over the person hurting you.

General CommentI think its just about how relationships are just flings nowadays.to me it seems he doesnt care about her at all and she i guess had feelings for him.I guess he was just looking for a one night stand and got entangled in something ugly, and ended up hurting someone in the process.

this part really explains what im talking about.

My InterpretationWhat I think is that it's your classic young love relationship. She gave him multiple chances, but he had too much fun at a bar and ended up cheating on her. She broke up with him, and he's a little upset but realizes it's over and he doesn't want her coming back to him crying. Sounds like he's tired of how easily she gets hurt (from other stuff) "One cut is all you ever need, I don't want this anymore".
