"Crazy, crazy, crazy" as written by Michael Franti and David Shul....
Shine on
All my people who are broken hearted
Shine on
From the place where all life has been started

When you need fresh air
Go beyond horizons
To your place in the sun
Shine on
Let your heart beat boundless
Like your faith in the one.

It's crazy, crazy, crazy
Don't tell me that you don't care
It's crazy, crazy, crazy
No stopping to this warfare
It's crazy, crazy, crazy
We're breathing in the same air
It's crazy, crazy, crazy
Don't tell me that you don't care
You don't care
No stopping to this warfare
You don't care
No

Sing on
From the language of your ancestors and
Sing on
Be playful in your inner senses

Lift your head up high
And rejoice for all you see
Without your eyes
Sing on
Like a bird that's making love in sunset skies

It's crazy, crazy, crazy
Don't tell me that you don't care
It's crazy, crazy, crazy
No stopping to this warfare
It's crazy, crazy, crazy
We're breathing in the same air
It's crazy, crazy, crazy
Don't tell me that you don't care

No life's worth more than any other
No sister worth less than any brother
No life's worth more than any other
No sister worth less than any brother
No life's worth more than any other
No sister worth less than any brother
No life's worth more than any other
No sister worth less than any brother

It's crazy, crazy, crazy
Don't tell me that you don't care
It's crazy, crazy, crazy
No stopping to this warfare
It's crazy, crazy, crazy
We're breathing in the same air
It's crazy, crazy, crazy
Don't tell me that you don't care
You don't care
No stopping to this warfare
You don't care

Somebody, please
Send us a prayer.

General CommentWhen I first heard this song I thought of the Passion, even though that's almost definitely not right. Is Michael Franti religious, does anyone know? Because a lot of his non-political songs could have religious influence.
The "shine on" and "sing on" verses made me think of Jesus speaking to his people. Shine on because of his love for us, sing on and spread the word. And "your place in the sun" isn't hard to imagine.
The chorus doesn't really fit in with this theory, but it could. Crazy, crazy, crazy could be referring to the craziness of the fact that the Romans condemned him to death.

I know this isn't right, but this is what the song means to me.

General CommentFrom the Michael Franti & Spearhead album "Yell Fire", song "East to the West":

    Life is too short for just one decision;
    Music is too big for just one station;
Love is too big for just one nation, and
God is too big for just one religion
