"Future Lovers" as written by and Mirwais Ahmadzai . Madonna....
Spoken:
I’m gonna tell you about love
Let’s forget your life
Forget your problems
Administration, bills, and loans
Come with me
In the evidence of its brilliance
In the evidence of its brilliance
In the evidence of its brilliance
In the evidence of its brilliance

Spoken:
In the demonstration of this evidence
Some call it religion
This is not a coincidence
Would you like to try?
Connect to the sky
Future lovers ride
Their ambitions high
Would you like to try?
Let me be your guide
Put aside your pride
Future lovers hide love inside their eyes
In the evidence of its brilliance
In the evidence of its brilliance
In the evidence of its brilliance
In the evidence of its brilliance
Love controlled by time
Future lovers shine for eternity
In a world that’s free
Put away your past
that will never last
If you’re holding on to a dream that’s gone
I’m gonna tell you about love
Would you like to try?
In the evidence of its brilliance
In the evidence of its brilliance
In the evidence of its brilliance
In the evidence of its brilliance
There’s no love like the future love
Come with me

Connect to the sky
Future lovers ride, Their ambitions high
Would you like to try?
Connect to the sky
Future lovers ride, Their ambitions high
Would you like to try?
(In the evidence of its brilliance) (repeat)
Connect to the sky
Future lovers ride, Their ambitions high
Would you like to try?
Brilliance…
Brilliance…
Brilliance…
Brilliance…
In the evidence of its brilliance

General Comment"Some have called it religion. This is not a coincidence."

...it's all spiritual. It's about how we all congregate around the light, in all different ways. Some people find their light in religion, others in being a faithful partner. It's all the same kind of love.

General CommentThis song is about meeting God at the end of your life. "There is no love like the future love." The future love is the love we get from the Light.

We are all future lovers, because God's love awaits us all.

"Let's forget your life." It's about letting go of the earthly (your problems and bills), and returning to the eternal realm.

"Put away your past, love will never last if you're holding on to a dream that's gone." Life is the dream that will be gone. She's urging us to not be afraid of letting go of it, to see beyond it.

You must forget life to know the "love controlled by time". "Future lovers shine for eternity".

"Future lovers hide love inside their eyes." We don't reveal all the love that is inside us during our life. We are hiding love. But she beckons "Come with me" into the "brilliance".

"In the demonstration of this evidence some call it religion." By saying "some call it religion" means that it's not religion, though religion addresses these issues of the soul and afterlife.

Rather she seems to be saying that transcendence is a natural and inevitable process, to connect to the sky.

Eternal love awaits us all in the future. "Would you like to try?" She's offering us a little glimpse of the brilliance of God's love.

This was a perfect song for the intro of the Confessions tour. This song segued into "I Feel Love", the disco hit. People are fond of saying that God is love. She combined them as if to say "I Feel God".

    We are all future lovers.

General CommentUmmmm...hmmm. The possibility of a future relationship, something to look forward to? Or what she thinks love will be in like, fifty years from now

General CommentSpaceraceman, the last part of your entry:

"This was a perfect song for the intro of the Confessions tour. This song segued into "I Feel Love", the disco hit. People are fond of saying that God is love. She combined them as if to say "I Feel God". We are all future lovers."

That basically sums up Madonna's brilliance.

My InterpretationFuture Lovers/I Feel Love is about spirituality and brilliance. Madonna has that quality in spades. She is crying about her life. Her sadness is about joy, love
and brilliance! Madonna makes me happy. I Love Her!

General Commentthis is a song about spirituality...the higher love...not at all about god, but about ourselves as individuals and spirits able to love...be love and radiate it...the evidence of it
