You come in hailstones in summer
Sliding ice along the sunburn,
I can see the moon and it's midday, midday,
The little hand on the big clock,
Is moving forwards then backwards,
This is my resolution Wednesday, Wednesday,

And I'll set my alarm to three thousand and two,
Cos I've been waiting years for this,
And I'll be waiting here for you,
And I will freeze my body until they find a cure,
Cos I've been waiting years for this,
And I'll be waiting here for you,

You come in hailstones in summer
Sliding ice along the sunburn,
I can see the moon and it's midday, midday,
The little hand on the big clock,
Is moving forwards then backwards,
This is my resolution Wednesday, Wednesday,

And I'll set my alarm to three thousand and two,
Cos I've been waiting years for this,
And I'll be waiting here for you,
And I will freeze my body until they find a cure,
Cos I've been waiting years for this,
And I'll be waiting here for you,

And I'll set my alarm to three thousand and two,
Cos I've been waiting years for this,
And I'll be waiting here for you,
And I will freeze my body until they find a cure,
Cos I've been waiting years for this,
And I'll be waiting here for you,

Cos I've been waiting years for this,
And I'll be waiting here for you,

Cos I've been waiting years for this,
And I'll be waiting here for you...

General CommentOhMyGosh SOMEONE comment on this song!
Who? Me? Oh ALRIGHT if you INSIST!
it seems to have the hovering theme of death, like most other Kisschasy songs, and maybe about how someone can't let go of the past?
    especially the bit
You come in hailstones in summer
    Sliding ice along the sunburn,
I can see the moon and it's midday, midday,
The little hand on the big clock,
    Is moving forwards then backwards,
This is my resolution Wednesday, Wednesday
    seems to me like:
You come in hailstones in summer
    Sliding ice along the sunburn,
-Maybe like he feels someone dead is giving him a sign by making it hail in summer?
The little hand on the big clock,
    Is moving forwards then backwards,
This is my resolution Wednesday, Wednesday
-he feels like time hasnt passed and whoever died is still beside him, and then he wakes up and realises that theyre gone, and the Resolution Wednesday bit is him saying that he is going to resolve his problems, and, namely, live in the present

General Commentthis is one of my favourite kisschasy songs!!! y hasn't more people commented on this FANTASTIC piece of music??? anyways, it sounds like this song is about a girl, or person, who he's completely devoted to and has been waiting a long time for. obviously time is going very slowly as shown by "the little hand...is moving forwards and then backwards." except, unlike musicmad, i dont think that his resolution is that this someone is forever from his reach, but instead that hes not going to give in and will do whatever it takes to get to them again. his devotion to this person is evident within the chorus- he's willing to wait thousands of years for them. so i dont think that hes resolved to let go of this person, but i also dont think that that's the whole story...

General CommentI totally disagree. I think the song is satirical. Like he is making the point of oberving the 'signs' hail in summer, you know totally unignorable situatiuons, things that make you stop and think. Then the tention that that causes when the situstion is awquard i guess, when it feels like time is standing still or moving backwards because the answer or resolution is staring you in the face, like ice on your sunburn! He makes a comitment to do something, break the tention and resolve the issue (which is open to any situation, i feel, not just relationships) 'resolution wednesday' Yet contradicts this by setting his alarm for 3002! Showing our nature to run in fear of a situation blowing up in our face, you know. The way it is phrased in the song gives the listener the feeling of confidence which is juxstaposed to the message 'i'll be waiting for you' not a confident message, he is not fighting for the resolution, he is still waiting for it to resolve itself. Really, really clever, i think. It is such a realistic lyric, as we so often say we are going to go and do something, resolve something, make a move, yet dispite the tention and the push by society, fear gets the better of us. I love this song, my favourite Kisschasy song by far!
