When the time is right and the night is bright,
We will see the things we've come to find,
I've been searching for just a little more,
Though the days girl just slip away,
And the red sunset that we just met,
I can see forever,

Come and see the mind's eye,
We can find it if we try,
Come and see the mind's eye,
Transfixed upon the why,
Come and see the mind's eye,
We can find it if we try,

Well they say it's right if it feels alright,
When your love burn up in the mire,
So I burnt a fire for a lost desire,
See it burning higher,

Come and see the mind's eye,
We can find it if we try,
Come and see the mind's eye,
Transfixed upon the why,
Come and see the mind's eye,
We can find it if we try,

Come and see the mind's eye,
We can find it if we try,
Come and see the mind's eye,
Transfixed upon the why,

The mind's eye,
Right now,

Come and see the mind's eye,
We can find it if we try,
Come and see the mind's eye,
We can find it if we try,

General Comment:I think the song is about wanting live a non-phony life (as talked about in the Catcher in the Rye), wanting to have real experiences and real, meaningful relationships. I think the sentece "I've been searching for just a little more" perhaps means that he isn't satisfied with the superficialness of other relationships. You know that life is short ("Though the days girl just slip away"), and therefore you want to see "the mind's eye" - the real things - before it's too late, to have the feeling that this life is not a total waste of time. I might be wrong, but then again I am Norwegian, so my Englsigh skills aren't as good as yours. But anyway, it's a beautiful song. I don't care who they sound like, I love it anyway.

General Comment:I think he is talking about a girl that he was currently dating. "We can find it if we try" would mean that they can work out their problems, and "Transfixed upon the why" would mean that they shouldnt worry about the "Why" of things and just let everything work itself out.

Then in the second verse it looks like he gives up hope of seeing her, and he doesnt really like her anymore as shown here "So I burnt a fire for a lost desire, See it burning higher."

I absolutely love this song. I looked them up a little, and zeppelin is their main influence. They just mold together the styles of tons of bands that I have always liked into one great band. Maybe the sound leans a little tword Zeppelin...but i think their sound is groundbreaking in regards to the crappy 21st century music

General Comment:the pineal gland in the brain is reffered to as the "minds eye" which produces small amounts of DMT naturally, which is believed to be the reason why people have very visual dreams.
DMT is also extracted from a certain plant, and can be smoked for an extremely intense phycadelic trip.
this song sounds alot like a potential DMT trip.
    thats just my opinion tho
culd be about something else :P
