"Colossal" as written by Andrew James Stockdale, Myles Heskett and Christopher James Ross....
I saw the colossal landscape,
Of which I never was a part,
It was a magical day,
Of which I'd never seen before,

The first time I saw colossal girl,
The first time I saw colossal girl,

Such glowing mountains before us,
Pillars of life all fade away,
Of all the things I need to say girl,
All of these words are in my way

The first time I saw colossal girl

Well she's running to the hills again,
Can you tell me if she'll ever return,
She must be mother natures child,
'Cause she's runnin' to the call of the wild,
She's talkin' to tree's again,
Tellin' me that she's one them,
Lookin' at the bird in the tree,
Though she's never gonna notice me,

Oh is my love a confession,
Will I just put it back today,
If I had love to give you,
Would you still throw it all away,

The first time I saw colossal girl,
The first time I saw colossal girl,

Well she's running to the hills again,
Can you tell me if she'll ever return,
She must be mother natures child,
'Cause she's runnin' to the call of the wild,
She's talkin' to tree's again,
Tellin' me that she's one them,
Lookin' at the bird in the tree,
Though she's never gonna notice me,

Can you remember the first time we met,
Living together in colossal times,
Some things are given with no reason why,
Living together in colossal times,

I'm just a gypsy with wandering eyes,
I'll tell you secrets that send you to sleep,
All I can give you is all of my love,
These things I can give you to keep,

I think these two phrases sum up the whole song. There's a girl he wants to give all his love to but she simply isn't interested. He has nothing else in his possession and he's willing to give it all to her. Really powerful imo.

General CommentI Love this song, I think half these wolfmother songs are about being stoned or something, but this song really opens the album really well

General CommentIt's about a guy who stands back and watches this girl (who's possibly doing drugs because she is talking to trees - or maybe it's a metaphor) and he just watches because everytime he comes close either she runs away or he chickens out, but he really cares, and he's cared since the first time he's seen this great girl.

General CommentActually, this song is about a rabbit. When Andrew was in this field in the great surrounding the great Hollywood forests, he saw this rabbit. And the feeling the rabbit gave him as it got eaten by the fox was a colossal one. A feeling of relief that the circle of life is still fucntioning within all of us.

General CommentI know Andrew's been a photographer, so I think he might just be a little deeper than what you all talking about drugs all the time think. But you can't always tell the difference(...).
