"Someone Must Get Hurt" as written by and Adam/warfield Bravin....
Please don't touch me, I've come to far to let you bring me down.
You think that I'm easy
But try as you might you can't have me now.
These tedious dances we run through but I've memorized them all.
I quietly melt down and consent to you if only just to ball

As I stare through you and I stand quite still,
And an alarmed sound is just up the road.
I can tell you'd like some company
But I can't fix you when you don't want me.

I call for the witness, present the facts, write down the little things.
They say the heart is resilient in black and white you swore there'd be no strings.
I sneak out the back door, but the gavel strikes and I can hear you cry.
Under the sound of my footsteps this time there will be no long goodbye.

As I stare through you and I stand quite still,
And an alarmed sound's just up the road.
I can tell you'd some sympathy
But I can't fix you when you don't want me.

How can I trust you?
How could you need me to know?
It's getting to be so cold. (oh, oh)
The decision is in and I won't break you come and you run with our lives at stake,
Well someone might get hurt and it won't be me.

The decision is in there'll be no fight It might sound could
But I know what's right cause someone must get hurt and it won't be me.

General CommentThese lyrics are all wrong...

It sounds sort of like a relationship that has gotten dull or repetitive.
She may want a purely sexual relationship, no strings attached.

The chorus in my head plays out where I can imagine an ambulance up the road
& He stares through her with hurt in his heart & an empty look in his eyes
She's paining & he'd love to take her pain away...
    But she doesn't care
    And she doesn't want him.

& Over & over again she hurts him
But as soon as she comes crying to him
He breaks and returns to her
For a short while they are good & happy
But it all comes crumbling down again
    It's like a broken & he's sick of it
At the end he finally lets go, though it hurts him to leave.
He claims he wont be the one to be hurt, but it's BS.

General CommentI think this song is about the end of a relationship. This couple always goes through the same circumstances as if their relationship was a play.
The person writing the song is basically saying that they've had enough and although they still love the other person, it's time to get out, regardless. This person doesn't want to be the one getting hurt again this time.

General CommentI think that it's "As I stare through you and I stand quite still, and an alarm sounds just up the road."

It makes more sense, and fits the beat of the song.

General Commentthis is such an incredible song, i'm amazed more people have not commented. as for the meaning, i feel it is, like others have said, about a relationship, or something of that nature, after that, i get lost.

General CommentOn the "how can i trust you" line, he sounds spookily like the singer from The Mission.
