"Dawn of a Golden Age" as written by and Matthew/davey Heafy....
Moon childe
Spawned of rage
Soon childe...
The dawning of a golden age

Four and twenty acts have passed
Since the pact was signed in blood
Now this fifth lustrum will surely grasp
The children of the holy
With music wracked like final gasps
From hearts that broken, flood
Whilst ruby-wedding talons clasp
This silver anniversary

Moon childe
Spawned of rage
Soon childe...
The dawning of a golden age

Vermillion rivers slither past
Racing roads to Shangri-La
Where a million souls aquiver ask
Small mercies of the holy
Like flowers plucked from crimson tar
On florid banks, the priests
Waft their scent through horrid bars
To incense the greater beast

Bereft of their seas of sweet dreams
He brings tidings of pain
War songs in the key of death
Sharpened through famine and plague

The knife at the throat of all murder
He wrote whilst in chains

"And there was given to him a mouth
Speaking great things and blasphemies
And power was given unto him
To blaspheme against God
And them that dwell in heaven
And it was given unto him to make war with the saints
And to overcome them..."

And risen from imprisonment
With so many nations to tame
Past Caesars and Tsars are but lesions and scars
To the backs of beyond he reclaims
For what is not told nor writ bold to his face
Is now whispered to the torturer's cheek
And with the rapport whores and sorcerers make
His kingdom embraces both the Pope and the State

The suck and the fuck of the wait and
A glut and a covetous Satan
The suck and the fuck of the wait and
Come what may
A glut and a covetous Satan

Moon childe
Spawned of rage
Soon childe...
The dawning of a golden age

General CommentThe guy who sings this is scarry as fuck. But his voice and the beat of the song go together amazingly. I really like this song, one of the best on the Roadrunner United CD.

General CommentThe person who is singing is Dani Filth, from cradle of filth. If you liked this, maybe you should check them out, theyre a good band. This song is very much in the style of the majority of teir songs, Id say.

General Commentfirstly mr filth has the worst voice of ny metal frontman ever

secondly he realy wrote some great amb lyrics for this song, he seems to know quite a bit about the 'daniel' prophesies

this song is about the 'beast' prophecy, the beast was a rather gnarly character that represents the roman empire andd its successors, leading up to the anglo american world power

i'm realy impressed though that he seems to refferance the 'king of the north/ south prophesy' which is much harder to understand,

it follows two kings from little after alexander the great to our modern times, then 'the dawning of a golden age', but notably when understood corectly it does say quite alot about the 'caesers and tsars', though i might spell caeser kaiser.

the 'tree' prophecy also gives the precise year when the 'gentile times end', satan is cast down to earth
and jesus begis to rule in heaven

but i seem to have digressed

    top song though

General CommentShangri-La is from james hiltons lost horizon, and thats not the bible, the lyrics seem almost like brownings monologues, in that it isn't christian or satanic. its a little ambiguouse

General Commenttalking about brownings dram mono's:

'childe rowland to the dark tower came'

also is moon childe a sideways referance to maidens moonchild

or is their a comon source?

also the word childe means knight- does that have a relavant baring
