"Underwater" as written by and Matthew B. Scannell....
You and I are here, underwater
Seconds are so dear, underwater
I'm searching for a light to draw me closer
I hold my breath in tight.
Bring me closer
I feel your touch
Will you pull me up again

It's not so bad down here, underwater
Once you get past the fear, underwater
I sense you through the haze, just like a memory
Been down here for days
Have you seen me
I feel your touch
Will you pull me up again

It's all the same to meâ?¦ underwater
There's nothing much to seeâ?¦ underwater
I cannot make a sound
But I can listen
Can't tell up from down
And now I miss them
I feel your touch
Will you pull me up again?

You're just in sight
Will you save my life again

I feel you
You and I are here, underwater.

General CommentIt's about being at that point in your life when can't seem to keep your head above water. You're in a haze, and you're literally drowning. After a while, you may stop struggling, and accept the misfortune you've been dealt ("It's not so bad down here, underwater, Once you get past the fear, underwater"). However, the song reminds us that there is always someone or something to rescue us. No matter how bad the situation, don't give up....your life will be saved.

General Commenti agree with stormchaser, but i think this song has a more religious....for lack of a better word, inclination. like with that whole "your life will be saved" thing, i think it's about salvation, but then again, i'm an atheist, i don't believe in things like that.

General CommentThe song feels like its being sang from the viewpoint of someone in a coma and the only person that can pull them out of it is their loved one.
