See those ladies tonight,
Dancing under the coloured lights.
All together on the floor, and the smart guys stand by the door.
I could have stayed home tonight, but theres a chance it'll work out right.
Maybe I'll find a new friend, maybe I'll just pretend

Solo Dancing,
On the loose
On my own
Solo dancing
Everyone knows that it's alright to be alone.

All these ladies tonight, dance together on the night club light
A voice says leave them alone, ah, ah, don't touch, hey that's okay! I'm cool on my own.
I could have called you tonight, And maybe end this crazy fight
And i just couldn't find the time, so I'll sit alone and drink the wine.

Solo Dancing
On the Loose
On my own
Solo Dancing
Nobody knows that my smile is all for show

Don't need your love, Say what!
Don't need your touch, She said...
I don't need anything at all, and that's why I'm hurting so much

Solo Dancing
On the loose
On my own
Solo dancing
Everyone knows that it's alright to be a...

Solo Dancer,
On the loose
On my own
Solo Dancing
Nobody knows that this smile is all for show

Solo Dancing
On the loose
On my own
Solo Dancing
Everyone knows that it's alright to be a...

Solo dancer,
On the loose
on my own
Solo Dancing
Nobodies knows that this smile is all for show.

General CommentDennis delivers once again with this delicious pop classic. Never afraid to tackle weighty subject matter, Dennis here uses his sublime writing talent to bravely tell the world of his excessive masturbation problem. Those uninitiated with Dennis' ingenious lyrics would probably guess that the song was straightforward and without metaphor; this could not be further from the truth.
In the second verse Dennis shows his love of masturbation candidly with these terrific words,
"All these ladies tonight, dance together on the night club light
A voice says leave them alone, ah, ah, don't touch, hey that's okay! I'm cool on my own." HE goes on to excuse his own habit with the lyric "Everyone knows that it's alright to be a...Solo dancer" but unfortunately the masturbation problem became so grave (estimates suggest up to 53 times a day) that Dennis was admitted to a private clinic. Thankfully now recovered, Dennis is back on our television screens to show that he is just as much an outstanding actor as he is stunning lyricist and performer.
