Her Heaven's a lie to those who threw away the key
Her God is alive and well when the higher believes
And you can't bend the river of her dreams
Or understand the divine words she speaks

Venus denies your severing tides above dark waters
You can quench her thirst with the fear hiding away from the day
Venus denies you in your dark waters
The moon kissed the sun and now we hold her in our blood

Her savior was never on a cross peirced with nails
Thirty peices of silver never retraced her mistake
She'll always be free from the arms of your sins
That made you weak as your world started crumbling

Venus denies your severing tides above dark waters
You can quench her thirst with the fear hiding away from the day
Venus denies you in your dark waters
The moon kissed the sun and now we hold her in our blood

(She's in our blood)
Venus denies your severing tides above dark waters
You can quench her thirst with the fear hiding away from the day
The venus denies you in your dark waters
The moon kissed the sun and now we hold her in our blood
In our blood
In our blood
In our blood
(She's in our blood)

General CommentIt's actually "seven towers above dark waters," not severing tides.

As for the meaning, let me quote Ville! "In some old myth, the seven towers and the water in the ocean are Hell - that's in the chorus of the song. In a way, it's a song about a young person who shouldn't be taught and subjected to religion, but who should instead figure out things in their own mind. And it's not necessarily just about religion - it could be about world politics as well. And of course, there are secrets in that song that I won't reveal."

General CommentI think is one of the best songs of the album. The songs starts really cool, kinda reminds me about Daniel Lioneye's Dope Danny. The chorus is just amazing. Again HIM prooved me that they can still make great music.

General CommentI'm not exactly sure what this song means...but the intro is really cool. If you reverse it, you can hear chimes sounding and if you listen carefully you can hear a girl say something like 'Where are we going, Daddy?'. Weird stuff...but cool. Love this song and the rest of Dark Light.

General Commentthis would probably border venus as a pagan goddess, similar to christianitys virgin mary. it is a song speaking of how people in the world shouldnt be clouded by immorality, and should keep a clear path to the end...whatever it may be

General CommentJBValo I heard it too with the little girl. It was really weird but also might be me but also heard on the opening verse it sounds like he said "Lets leave this earth where others die" probably just me...Really like the song and there the lines talking about the religion and venus is just that the goddess of love and saying that love will be there and the only pain given is the pain you inflict upon yourself or something like that
