The early love seems to become jaded... I'm never expecting this... glance towards the mirror, imagination toward the stars... the endless desire for my one and only true love... this will never change i predict.... but i do get tired.. if only they knew what push we have given... for this music... this happiness that keeps us all sane... cold nights seem to force questions, not wanting to accept these thoughts... I have worked and will keep working... to keep the tradition of my one true motive in life... music... my only love... once building drum boxes and pretending to be the artist... I guess I'm here but it feels weird... so weird... to know how weird all this can be... it seems to never work out like I planned... like we planned.

One day it will all come together... first place desire in the backwards marathon... that's all we can ask for...

It's raining... it's raining... it's raining... it's raining...
When the sun comes up, it's still raining.
Slowly grow... weeds turn into... smiling trance... never mentioned

The early love seems to become jaded... I'm never expecting this... dance for the mirror, imagination towards the stars... the endless desire for my one and only true love... dreams won't let go... thoughts will not change... can't watch it fly away.

The song meaning is clear. Music has been Tommy's (and the band's) dream and know that he's finally doing what he loves to do, it blows him away. Now he's wondering how fast they'll end up succumbing to shittiness.

I guess one of the things I love about BTBAM is the way none of their lyrics really fit the music they play. But it all fits.

I play them all the time at work and one of my co-workers always says, "Kill! Kill! Die! Die!" and says I have shitty taste in music.

If he only knew. BTBAM doesn't have to worry about being remembered. They'll be remembered and appreciated by the REAL music lovers as opposed to those zombies who go out and buy those overproduced piece of shit Britney Spears records...

I feel like I'm going through exactly what Tommy has went through. I have been waiting so long to have a full band and I'm the only one in the band who is clear of the busy life so I have to wait ..... "It's raining, It's raining" .... for so long ..... "one day it will all come together", thats all I ask for. thank you tommy for sharing your feelings about this sort of topic, that I'm going through, It feels nice to know I'm not the only one who is going through this.

This song is so sick, the soft breakdown is unbelieveable. When Me and a Friend started singing it at football practice it started to rain. It was magical.

Its about how the band has gotten so good. but are unmentioned because they are not "mainstream". It's about how all the bands that are considered "mainstream" suck. "first place in a backwards marathon." Backwards Marathon means a race to create the most mainstream music.

and its heading backwards because by creating shitty, poppy music, the progression of music is reversing. i.e. backwards marathon

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Punchline

Ed Sheeran sings about missing his former partner and learning important life lessons in the process on “Punchline.” This track tells a story of battling to get rid of emotions for a former lover, whom he now realized might not have loved him the same way. He’s now caught between accepting that fact and learning life lessons from it and going back to beg her for another chance.

Page

There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
