This is the one we were hoping for
She loves when he lies
She held him back all the way now her arms so tired
Why didn't he stay?

This is the one we were hoping for
He cries when she loves
He laughs his way down to when he'll realize
Then he will say:
"Say you weren't cool,
Say you weren't fine,
Say you weren't tough enough,
Strong enough for my love?"
"Say you weren't cool,
Say you weren't fine,
Say you weren't tough enough;
Strong enough for my love"

This is the one we were hoping for
She dies when he lies
She held her eyes down as he walked on by
Well she said oh no

He cries, she lies, ohhhh, than he dies

Say you weren't cool,
Say you weren't fine,
Say you weren't tough enough,
Strong enough for my love

Say you weren't cool,
Say you weren't fine,
Say you weren't tough enough,
Strong enough for my love.

General CommentI love this song, but I'm not sure exactly what it's about (maybe it's purposefully not clear?). I love that it switches from an omniscent "we", as if there's just some people observing the tribulations of this couple from afar, and then it goes into the couples POV with "Say you weren't cool", etc. Great song.
