Heaven ablaze in our eyes
We're standing still in time
The blood on our hands is the wine
We offer as sacrifice

[Chorus]
Come on, and show them your love
Rip out the wings of a butterfly
For your soul, my love
Rip out the wings of a butterfly
For your soul

This endless mercy mile
We're crawling side by side
With hell freezing over in our eyes
Gods kneel before our crime

[Chorus]
Come on lets show, them your love
Rip out the wings of a butterfly
For your soul, my love
Rip out the wings of a butterfly
For your soul
(Rip out the wings of a butterfly)
Don’t let go
(Rip out the wings of a butterfly)
For your soul

[Chorus]
Come on, and show them your love
Rip out the wings of a butterfly
For your soul, my love
Rip out the wings of a butterfly
For your soul
(Rip out the wings of a butterfly)
Don’t let go
(Rip out the wings of a butterfly) [x2]

For your soul

General Commenti think the video is a bit too conceptual for some, rather obscure, but its cool.. the song is good but it doesnt wretch my heart like loves requiem or beautiful.. cant wait till the new album.. the meaning of this song has something to do with butterflys and what they mean in different cultures or something ville's been reading up on them.

General CommentI think the video to this song is one of the coolest things I've ever seen and just the way Ville looks at the camera in this, it almost stops my heart every time. When I first heard the song I thought it may have meant something like if you rip out the wings of a butterfly it can't fly, grow and be beautiful. The butterfly being love in the song, if you rip out the wings, it can't fly, grow and be beautiful. Well that's my interpritation of the song.

General CommentIf I remember it correctly Ville said that what he means with Rip out the wings of a butterfly is something innocent doing something terrible. Like a young child ripping out the wings of a butterfly.
    Or something like that :)

Any way, great song. Sounds abit like The 69 Eyes.
