"Over" as written by and James Christopher/burch Adkins....
I'm not exactly sure what I should say,
Everything I do is a mistake.
Your attention is attention,
It doesn't matter if it's fake or real.

Ill take it if I get it
I've made up my mind
I'll do it over anytime
You're over it, over me

Present just physically
The last words from the dying scene
You're over me
You're over me

I really need to hear how great I am
'Cause I can't even get up out of bed
Now say it like you mean it
It's doesn't matter how it really feels

Say it back softly
You've got to be strong
And I've been empty oh so long
You're over it, over me

Present just physically
The last words from a dying scene
You're over me
Old Days all went bad?

Rotten, Wilted, Black
Before you have a chance to call
I'll be on the next train home
Add it to the endless list

Of all the things we'll never ever know
You're over it, over me
Present just Physically
The last words from the dying scene

You're over me.
You're over me.
You're over me.

General CommentThis song is like me and my ex....we liked each other and started going out and she was too busy to handle a relationship so we took a break...and during this break she lost feelings for me. she was "over me"....and it sucks. it is a crappy feeling when your crazy for someone and they change their feelings for you, without a reason. and you look for anything to cling on too to try and make it real like it was before. like trying to ignore the truth (it doesn't matter if its fake or real).

General CommentTo me it sounds like a person who has broken up with someone and he can't get over the person they broke up with. While the other person is glad they broke up.

That line makes me think that this song is not about a past relationship in the traditional sense. If you've ever had to explain your relationship using a couple sentences instead of saying "My boyfriend/girlfriend" you know what I mean. Perhaps the girl was leading him on, showing him attention, was using him. But he dug her so much that he didn't care. And now without her he just hates life, and hates that he let someone do that to him. My two cents.

General Commenti think its about a couple who were in love, but one of them fell out of love. suddenly, everything the singer does feels wrong, because he feels like he has to really work hard to stay with her ("i'm not exactly sure what i should say, everything i do is a mistake"). but as long as he has her attention, and they're still physical, and she tells him how great she thinks he is, in his mind, everything's okay. but you can tell when he's singing the chorus that everything's really not okay. by the end of the song, when he's talking about all the things they'll never ever know, he's sort of come to terms with the fact that it's over for both of them.

General Commenti think the chorus explains most of the song..
"you're over and over me," meaning he was in a strong relationship with someone and she left him, therefore now everything he does doesn't seem right and he's having trouble getting past this time. He wishes that he'd get back with her, but she is over him, probably because the girl was a slut in the first place and got it going with another guy, and he found out, or something like that...
