"Satin Chic" as written by and Alison Elizabeth/gregory Goldfrapp....
You're so satin chic
Look rich talking cheap
On your telephone
Won't be comin' home
He's my man
Yeah he's my man
You don't understand
Ne na na na na na na na
Dressed up in lizard green
Celluloid seventeen
Lip gloss bold as blood
You got 'em linin' up
Racing through the stars
You killed me a while
My smile synchronized
For everyone tonight

General CommentThe beat sort of reminds me of the doors Alabama Song (Whisky Bar).

General CommentIt is just "teh coolest" song, though :D. I love how it makes seemingly "old fashioned" beats and instruments (i.e. the almost robotic 4/4 and the honky tonk piano) just sooo awesome! Although I think the lyrics are rather self explanatory. Her "man" is some glam star that some people may not understand why she loves, but still manages to turn many peoples' heads ;).

General CommentSee, this song feels different to me. This song makes me feel like she's got some skanky girl after her man

    "Dressed up in lizard green
    Celluloid seventeen
    Lip gloss bold as blood"

    "He's my man
    Yeah he's my man
    You don't understand"

Maybe not necessarily the exact meaning she meant for it to be... but that's what it came out as for me. And it works so well because my boyfriend's ex-girlfriend is being all sneaky and trying to get him back (which won't happen)... So, when I listen to this song I start thinking about her and saying
"Yeah, he's my man... you don't understand"
    Haha

General Commentit sounds to me like its about woman who's husband/bf/etc is just a fake person and she knows it. and even though their love is gone, she fakes it too to keep the image of their relationship going.

General CommentI'm actually wondering why nobody seems to care what she is singing after the Ne na na na na na na na!!!!

    I've always wondered that.

My OpinionThis song always strikes me as a bit stalkerish rather than protective, sounds very deluded and manic (especially when she repeats saying love towards the end). It always reminds me of Misery bu Stephen King.
