"Gunnin' (old band version)" as written by Christian Robert Crippin, Jacob William Hoggard, Thomas Walter Macdonald, Dave Rosin and David Robert Madison Genn....
Tell me what I'll never be
Make me feel broken
And tell me what I should believe
I didn't know it was broken

And I'm gunnin' for you,
I'm gunnin' for you.
And I will wait,
I'll write another letter to myself
And I will find out,
That morning comes faster alone.

I hate the way you look at me,
As if I was broken
And the perfection of my frailty
Has been questioned and broken

And I'm gunnin' for you,
I'm gunnin' for you.
And I will wait,
I'll write another letter to myself
And I will find out,
That morning comes faster alone.

And I feel like I'm fine today
I feel like I'm ready take this on
And I'll fight you to the grave for it
I'll never let you take a part of me with you

And I will wait,
I'll write another letter to myself
And I will find out,
That morning comes faster alone.

And I will wait,
I'll write another letter to myself
And I will find out,
That morning comes faster alone.

The perfection of my frailty
Has been questioned and broken.

General Commentno comments on this one?
im really shocked.i thought this one was
    so much better,lyrically speaking.
dont get me wrong, the new one is great.
but i dont like how he uses broken in,well
    basically every single line.
but this is got the same meaning, just
    said differently.

General CommentI know that hedley is really 'lame' and 'pop' as some would say, but I don't care, Jakob has a beautiful voice, and both versions of this song perfectly sum up loneliness, they are stellar.

General Commentis the writing another letter to himself about being in therapy? i read that in therapy you write letters to people but don't send them just to let out your feelings. it could be talking about his journal in that part.

    i know jacob's voice is sa-weet.

General Commentwhen i bought the first hedley album with the new band members i was stoked to see Trip and Gunnin on the record.
This version absolutley rapes the new one. "dont put yourself in the wrecking ball" may be one of the mst genious lyrics i have ever heard.
