"Summer's Gone" as written by and Riley Gordon Briggs....
One two, one two three
Well, we get along
Yeah we really do
And there's nothing wrong
With what I feel for you
I could go with you, you, you
If you want me to
I could hang around
Till the leaves are brown
And the summer's gone

What a silly thing
For me to say to you
As the spring begins
To begin with you
And I know that it's hard, hard, hard

When the leaves are brown
And they're falling down
And the summer's gone

And I can't wait anymore for you
Spent the weekend, you've given me nothing
I can't wait anymore for you
The feeling's strong, but the summer's gone

But I won't give up
And I won't give in
And I know it's tough
But I ain't a win
And I couldn't get away from you
Even if I wanted to
So I hang around
Till the leaves are brown
And the summer's gone

And I can't wait anymore for you
Spent the weekend, you've given me nothing
I can't wait anymore for you
The feeling's strong, but the summer's gone

And I can't wait anymore for you
Spent the weekend, you've given me nothing
I can't wait anymore for you
The feeling's strong, but the summer's gone

And I can't wait anymore for you
I can't wait anymore for you
I can't wait anymore for you
The feeling's strong, but the summer's gone

I can't wait anymore for you
I can't wait anymore for you
I can't wait anymore for you
The feeling's strong, but the summer's gone

What I've got to do
What I've got to see
It was only you, and it was only me
And I know that it's hard, hard, hard
And I Know that it's hard
And the leaves are brown
And they're falling down
And the summer's gone

And I can't wait anymore for you
Spent the weekend, you've given me nothing
I can't wait anymore for you
The feeling's strong, but the summer's gone

And I can't wait anymore for you
Spent the weekend, you've given me nothing
I can't wait anymore for you
The feeling's strong, but the summer's gone

General Commentas a fellow Scot, the second time they sing "And I can't wait anymore for you
Spent the weekend, you've given me nothing" both in the middle of the song and at the end they actually say "you're doing my nut in" which means 'you're driving me crazy'.

Also, for the (?) lyric (which is repeated in the last verse as "And I Know that it's hard" i think they actually sing "when your loving is scarred"

General CommentAlso it's "aim to win" not "ain't a win"...

General CommentI've had a couple of relationships like this... You give and give and you get back a polite "thanks but no thanks."

It's easy to find yourself in a relationship of convenience... I'm finding myself listening to this song a lot since I got married. Pretty sure there's no connection there, though. ;)

General CommentI love the music in this song. Quirky and beautiful.

General CommentAlso, I could swear they sing "and I can't bleed anymore for you" on some occasions.
