He wore a crown of thorns,
Made by the Devils horns

Look at it, look at what he did for you?
He died (for you)
And you never knew he (never, never, never, knew!)

Kept you safe. Free. Gave you life, no reason to worry or care
Nothing you have to bear
He died (6)

And you don't even care!
Is this to much to bear!
Were you not aware!
Much too much pain
Makes me sad.
Makes me think of all they put him through.
All they had to do.
For you!

Look at it, look at what he did for you?
He died (for you)
And you never knew
He

What’s this I start to see?
Please let him be
Let him live to save us all
Don’t do this
Not like this
Why would you do this?
What has he done?
Was this just for fun?
You can't just run!

Look at it.
Look at what you did to him!
He died for you

He died for you!

General CommentI doubt this is an APC song. Far too Christian. (I'm not saying any member of the band belongs to a certain religion) It's just too Christian. Like Jars of Clay, Christian.

General CommentI haven't actually heard this song but my quick take on the lyrics go this-a-way:
Jesus died for fruit he didn't get to taste and it goes unquestioned (assumed) by those who rejoice and revel in his sacrafice (yet rembember now God prefers mercy to/not sacrafice) and even God supposedly declares in his book that according to the verse Jhn 19:11 the greater sin is by the one who handed Jesus over to be lamb based. I guess perhaps God judges himself but (like Bender from the Breakfast Club) asking about your own father is kind of taboo with him? I don't have a problem with Jesus but I guess maybe he didn't know what forbidden fruit tasted like. Type-rambling...
Oh, wait! The point of this being an APC song could be along the lines of hypocrisy and dark humor or maybe true empathy and compassion yeah type- rambling...

General CommentHonestly, I can't see Maynard or any of APC wasting their time on garbage like that. But just an opinion...

General Commenti couldnt imagine maynard singing these lyrics, considering all of the songs he writes bashing on organized religion, specifically christianity in songs such as eulogy and opiate (tool songs, but still)
