It's everyday I'm in this place
I feel this way, I feel the same.
It's everyday I'm in this place
I feel this way, I feel the same.
Is it all inside my head?
Is it all inside my head?

I view the list and take my pick,
I'll view my fate and make the choice,
'Cause it's nobody else's but mine.

But You're in my heart, I can feel your beat.
And You move my mind from behind the wheel
When I loose control,
I can only breathe Your name.
I can only breathe Your name.

So many days within this race,
I need the truth, I need some grace.
I need the ? to find my place,
I need some truth, I need some grace.
The part of You that's part of me
Will never die, will never leave.
And it's nobody else's but mine.

You are in my heart, I can feel your beat.
And You move my mind from behind the wheel.
When I loose control,
I can only breathe your name,
I can only breathe your name.

You view the list and take your pick,
You view my fate and make the choice,
'Cause I'm nobody else's but Yours.

And You're in my heart--I can feel your beat,
And You move my mind from behind the wheel.
When I loose control,
I can only breathe Your name.
'Cause you're in my heart--I can feel Your beat,
And you move my mind from behind the wheel.
When I loose control,
I can only breathe your name [Repeat: x4]

Just a great song, whether you believe it is about God or not. Could be just about the feeling of being "in love", which means in love, with anything or anyone.

This is one of my favorite Christian songs. It's so catchy! Sixpence is pretty great.

I think it's about her and this guy that she kinda wants to sleep with or something. So in the first verse she's saying about how she always feels like this, and in the second she's saying that it's her choice and what she's trying to decide based on.

The chorus is all about how he makes her feel, and how she can't go any further than 'breathe your name'.

Then in the next one she's telling him that it's his choice whether or not he's gonna wait for her and stick around or whether he'll leave her because of the constrictions of her religion.

This is probably all complete crap, but it's what I like to imagine the song to be about.

I think it's definitely about a guy. She has choices (other guys interested in her) verse: "I view the list and take my pick and he has choices too (other girls interested in him) verse: "You view the list and take your pick," but they choose each other.

Due to the nature of Sixpence's Christian rock lyrics, this is probably a lengthy yadda yadda about God. For example, notice: "You'll view the list And take your pick You'll view my faith And make a choice 'Cause it's nobody else's but yours "

Normally I despise Christian music because it's so bland, insipid, and utterly toothless, but I love Sixpence for some reason. This is a multivalent song--if you wanted to focus on the Christian aspect, you could, but it could also be about romance. I choose to follow the latter interpretation, partly because I first heard the song on pop radio and I have a hard time believing that it would play a Christian song.

    My Interpretation

The chorus sounds like she's talking about a really good orgasm :-) but that doesn't mesh with the rest of the lyrics.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.
