"Clockwatching" as written by and Jason Mraz Dennis Morris....
Take off, both your, shoes and clothes, I'll follow.
Undo, corkscrew, drink from the top of a broken bottle.
Lately we're running out of time, aren't we?

Smoking, often, and calling out our guilty pleasures,
Let's keep, talking, anything to stop clock watching.
Lately we're running out of time, aren't we?
Crazy for running all the time, m-m-m-m-maybe.
Let's forget we're running out of time.

I'm off like an airplane,
I'm licking your postage stamp again.
I'm using my right brain and I'm praying the weight will crash.
Who knew I'd come/cum so fast.
Well so what if a two pump chump can't last.

I finally made it to three, and I foreclose a five minute, fantasy.
I'll surely fight making love on economy/on account of me (not sure).
No jumping, conclusions,
I don't think there's no solution,
Let's get, backwards,
And forget our restless destination.

Let's live in this moment just this time, could we?
Just take one moment of our time m-m-m-m-maybe.
Let's forget we running out of time.

I'm off like an airplane,
I'm catching my second wind again.
I'm using my left brain
And I'm righting all my wrongs.
I'm yearning to turn you on.

I've been working on getting you off, so get on board.
Well how can I guess by the subject of the best predicate that's left unsaid when the matter is too delicate.
My loneliness is evident.

And its you,
You're running through my mind and it makes me see-see-crazy cra-cra-crazy.

La la la
La la la la la
La la la (oh, so amazing)
La la la la la la
La la la
La oh oh
La lo oh oh oh

Lady, dreamer, you might be the soundest sleeper,
Tonight, sleep tight, and build your nest upon my shoulder.

General CommentI have a completely different view. Jason is talking about we are running out of time on earth. It's crazy that we are almost at the end of the world. But, he doesn't want to think about it now. He just wants to rejoice the moment he has with the one. He wants to correct his wrong doings of making love on economy that i guess is for money. So, he thinks there is still possibility for the world but we need to take one day at a time. When there is so much to do, he can't do it alone, his loneliness is evident. He is calling out to the lady who has the same dream.

General CommentI would agree and say it is about sex. Premature ejaculation... in a way yes. Quick sex. It would seem in the beginning he is using his "right brain". Later on he seems to be getting the hang out of it and now using the "left brain" and is confident that he is pleasing.

General CommentNo, the meaning of this song isn't really "running out of time" - or that's only a fraction of the meaning. It seems to me this is a song about premature ejacualation and trying to control it. Now I'm sorry if you didn't notice that that's what the song is about, I probably ruined it for you. It's a song I'd rather not think about actually, it's kind of gross...

It's a song I'd rather not think about actually, it's too graphic, kind of gross... thinking about the singer/narrator blowing it too soon....

General CommentUhh, I wouldn't go so far as to say it's about premature ejaculation. It's about sex, certainly but it's more than that. I think it's about enjoying spending time with a lover and not wanting that time to end. Giving in to guilty pleasures, letting go of all inhibitions, having tons of sex and dreading the time that you have to part because when you're away from that person the loneliness sets in. He wants to live in the moment with this person and forget about everything else. When he's away from that person all he can think about is her and he needs to quench that insatiable thirst whenever he's with her.

I absolutely adore this song and I love his vocals. Very sexy.

General CommentYeah it's about that too - but the verse,

    "I'm off like an airplane,
I'm licking your postage stamp again.
I'm using my right brain and I'm praying the weight will crash.
Who knew I'd come/cum so fast.
Well so what if a two pump chump can't last."

Is definitely about premature ejaculation and rushing the sex. For me, that ruins the song. For other people who view web page, probably not. It's up to you.

General CommentI think the song is certainly about making love, but it's a perfect example of Jason Mraz's songwriting skills. Most songs about a similar subject would take a blatant approach to things and the lyrics would often end up being trite and/or crude.

Jason Mraz, on the other hand, uses wordplay and metaphor to get his point across and couples it with a great melody, allowing you to enjoy the song on more than one level. Either as just a good song, or a song with deeper meaning if you want to look for it.

Perhaps I am reading too much into it.

Either way, it's a great song.

General Commenti agree with InsomniacUK. his songs are meant to be multi-meaning. The song may mean sex, which I agree with, but i hardly think this is about premature ejaculation. if anything i would think it was about sneaking in a quickie with your other.

he's saying, come on and just let's make the best of this moment now. i can relate to it because it's one of those songs that just talks you into something crazy.

i love jason mraz and this song definitely does not disappoint. he seems like abit of a sex addict, eh? i like the pin on his first album that says i like sex.
