"No (English translation)" as written by Lester A Mendez and Shakira Mebarak....
No, don't try to apologize
Don't play the game of persistance
Excuses existed before you did

No, don't look at me like before,
Don't talk in plural
Rhetoric is your most lethal weapon

I'm going to ask you to never come back again
I regret that you still can hurt me, here,
Inside

And that at your age you already know well
What it's like to break someone's heart like this

No, one can't live with so much venom
The hope your love gave me
No one else has given me
I swear

No, one can't live with so much venom
One shouldn't devote the soul
To collecting attempts
Rage weighs more than cement

I expect that you don't expect that I expect you
After turning twenty-six
Patience has sunk all the way down to my feet

So here I pluck daisy petals
While I'm looking without seeing
To find out if you'll get irritated and leave
I'm going to ask you not to come back ever again
I regret that you still can hurt me, here,
Inside

And that at your age you already know well
What it's like to break someone's heart
like this

No, one can't live with so much venom
The hope your love gave me
No one else has given me
I swear

No, one can't live with so much venom
One shouldn't devote the soul
To collecting attempts
Rage weighs more than cement

General Commentgood translations are hard to come by. Literal translations don't transfer well and contextual translations aren't so readily accepted.

General CommentI think this translation can be improved.
Firstly, "insistir" is "insistence" and not "persistence" - although I suppose they are very similar.
Also it shouldn't be "I expect that you don't expect that I expect you". The original lyric is "Espero que no esperes que te espere" which is difficult to translate because the verb "esperar" means both "to hope" and "to wait" as well as other things in different contexts. In this instance, I think it's best to translate it as "I hope that you don't hope that I'm waiting for you after turning 26" And in the second last chorus, it is "morir" instead of "vivir" ("Dying" instead of "living").

And in the main choruses (Chorai? Lol!) it should be "I swear, I'm not lyring" ("Te juro, no miento").

Otherwise I think this song is beautiful - my favourite Shakira song. It really expresses the pain, love, and hatred that there is in broken relationships

General Commentkudos to finding a very cloase translation.

i take this song as one of those, "I love you, but the love is killing me" relationships. a man that hurts you, but makes up for it, and then hurts you again.

    TranslationNo, don't try to apologize
do not play to persist on
    there were beforehand excuses

No, don't look at me like you did
do not speak in a plural way,
    Rhetoric is your lethal weapon

I'm gonna ask you to don't come back
It hurts to feel you on here, inside
that at your age you don't even know
what it is like to broke someone's heart, this way

Cannot live with tons of venom,
that hope your love has given me
    nobody else would gave me,
    I swear, I'm not lying

Cannot live with tons of venom,
    cannot devote my soul
    to add up attempts,
    wrath is heavier than concrete

I hope that you don't hope me to be waiting
until I'll turn 26, patience is gone to my feet

Afterwards I go counting daisies, watching but not looking
to see if you get anger and so you left

I'm gonna ask you to don't come back
It hurts to feel you on here, inside
that at your age you don't even know
what it is like to broke someone's heart, this way

Cannot live with tons of venom,
that hope your love has given me
    nobody else would gave me,
    I swear, I'm not lying

Cannot live with tons of venom,
    cannot devote my soul
    to add up attempts,
    wrath is heavier than concrete.

(my interpretation is that she loved but now it is over, sometimes is better set you free from a relationship hurts you every time, therefore is painful)
