Point the gun (in your way)
Just pretend that it is time (it is time)
Say the word and I will fire
Sometimes I get so tired
Of the ride (it never stops)
This word is worth then my life (than my life)
Say the word and I will die

There's no peace for passing of this new sickness
That I have introduced
To everyone around me saying
That I'm the cause of all their crime
And when they're drunk
I pour the wine

Lets leave this place
To say that we escaped
Well say that there's no difference between right and wrong tonight
We'll leave no trace of friends that we have made
So they can find us
And take what is ours

Point the gun (in your way)
Just pretend that it is time (it is time)
Say the word and I will fire

Take me far from
This less than perfect design
My contributions only go so far
Without monetary game for my heart

Lets leave this place
To say that we escaped
We'll say that there's no difference between right and wrong tonight
We'll leave no trace of friends that we have made
So they can find us and take what is ours

Running with the scissors pointed at your heart from your hand
Is that your plan?
I don't have time for questions concerning your future position

Lets leave this place (if all that was this time)
To say that we escaped (decisions that were mine)
We'll say that there's no difference between right and wrong tonight
We'll leave no trace of friends that we have made
So they can find us and take what is ours

Put on your coat (it's time to go [x2])
Decemary is what i want
Taking every inch too
Loosing pressure is not a choice
When im running with you
Giving up the fight
I could never stop
It is dedication
My gift to you

General CommentAmazing song...I know this sounds very vague, but to me it seems like it's about indecision and being excluded. Seems it's about a couple who are wanting to leave a group of people behind because that group is blaming one or both of them for their troubles. But there's probably a more accurate meaning to it. Anyway, when I listen to it, it sounds like:

"peaceful passing" instead of "peace for passing"

Both phrases seem to work well in the context of the song but that's just what it sounds like to me.

It sounds like he says "plans that we have made" during the chorus rather than "friends we have made" but again, either meaning works.

Lastly, in the 2nd/final chorus you should probably list the entire backing vocals on at lesat one of those, so basically jsut add "(The finger and the gun)" after "We'll leave no trace" and "(To be the only one)" after "of plans/friends that we have made". Other than that, looks good.

General CommentAnother mistake in the lyrics.
Near the end it should be "Loosing precious time, (it's not a choice) rather than "Loosing pressure is not a choice"

General CommentWell... For one, these lyrics are kinda messed up... Oh well. I've never really understood this song. This is one of those songs that's baffled me for a long time.
There's two possibilities that I see... A)The singer is sick of life on earth when he compares to life in Heaven with Jesus, so he wants to kill himself to be there. But since Emery is a Christian band, I don't think this is the case.
    B) The gun is a metaphor of taking your life into your own hands. Like, "I have a gun. I'm in control of my life now; I could kill myself if I wanted. I have to power to have complete control over my life." If this is the case, which seems the most probable to me, then the last part ("Put on your coat...") is saying that that mindset is all just an illusion, that it just ends in tragedy. I dunno. I could write a whole two pages on what this song might mean... But since I don't really know... Heh heh...
    Hope that helps... A little...

General CommentI think it's about moving on with your life, going somewhere completely new and dropping everything in your past. In this case, he's running away with a significant other, saying that he has the power to do it(the gun metaphor which kno elaborated on).

General CommentA thought just occured to me.

"There's no peace for passing of this new sickness
    That I have introduced
    To everyone around me saying
That I'm the cause of all their crime
    And when they're drunk
    I pour the wine"

This means that he has been the scapegoat for his friend's problems. They say that he exacerbates the situation, hence he poured the wine that made them drunk. This is the fuel that makes him want to leave.

General Comment"Put on your coat (it's time to go, it's time to go)."

    That part is amazing.

General CommentThe lyrics in this song remind me of Linkin Park's "Shadow of the Day," because both are talking about new beginnings, and leaving behind people who were once (or maybe still are) considered friends, but are no longer right for your life.
