Can't get out of bed
Straighten up my head
I swear this is goodbye
I feel like lying here
I feel like dying here
And only you can save me tonight

I felt this earth spin and crash
The end of the world shouldn't come so fast

[Chorus]
Don't stop sucking me in
Making me come back to you
No one will ever compare
Will ever be better than you

I feel powerless
I feel under dressed
I swear this is goodbye
I don't want to go
I just seem to blow everything that I love tonight
I've been hiding here
I've been lying here
Watching life passing by
And I want you to know
I want you to know
I'd die for you
I'd die for you

I felt this earth spin and crash
The end of the world shouldn't come so fast

[Chorus]

Don't stop sucking me in
Making me come back to you
No one will ever compare
Will ever be better, better, better than you

Oh everyone's losing their minds
Healthy in paranoid times
I've said all my prayers for tonight
It's never goodbye
It's never goodbye

[Chorus]

Don't stop sucking me in
Making me come back to you
Oh, no one will ever compare
Will ever be better, better, better than you

Better than you
Better than you
Better than you
Better than you.

I heard the 2 minute clip of this song, and the verses and bridges are just absolutely beautiful.

I think this song is meant to be a plea to God. When something like Katrina happens (and yes I'm aware that this song was made before) we look to God and ask why. Why would a "good Christian God" (or any God) allow such bad things to happen? One answer is that it makes us realize that our lives are fragile and we don't have a right to them, something we all often forget. So, disasters happen and people die, and we grow a little closer to God again before we run back to what we are doing and forget. I think this song is about that conviction God gives us and the realization and thankfulness these disasters bring. Don't stop God. Don't stop teaching us, and reminding us of what's really important.

the idea that this is about a blow job is such shit. This song is so much deeper then that. This song is awesome. i think its about a very deep relationship that is about to end and he's knows it but he doesnt want to end or something. maybe not. but better then the total shit idea that its about a blow job.

Guys, fuck off, this isn't about something silly like a blow job. This is possibly OLP's greatest song out of their catalogue. I routinely check out ourladypeace.cc for updates, and each time I view the tour list, this song is the only one that has yet to be played live. What the hell? This is one of their better songs, and they don't play it live? I'm baffled. This song is what the album is about - healthy in paranoid times. That is the biggest let down of OLP -their failure to play it live, even worse, a lack of fan recognition. Shame.

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Dreamwalker
Silent Planet
I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.

Head > Heels
Ed Sheeran
“Head > Heels” is a track that aims to capture what it feels like to experience romance that exceeds expectations. Ed Sheeran dedicates his album outro to a lover who has blessed him with a unique experience that he seeks to describe through the song’s nuanced lyrics.

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.
