"First Day (feat. Brian Molko and Jo Kate)" as written by Jo Kate Benson, Timo Maas, Martin Buttrich and Brian Molko....
I see you found my underground
Help yourself to guns and ammo
Nothing here has ever seen the light of day
I leave it in my head

[Repeat: x4]
It's the first day of the rest of your life

You'll remember me, for the rest of your life
You'll remember me, for the rest of your life

[Repeat: x4]
It's the first day of the rest of your life

[Repeat: x4]
It's the first day of the rest of your life

Don't fuck it up
Don't fuck it up

You'll remember me, for the rest of your life
You'll remember me, for the rest of your life

[Repeat: x12]
It's the first day of the rest of your life

General CommentWell, "first day of the rest of your life" suggests somekind of rebirth or renewal... but the first stanza, along with the line "You'll remember me, for the rest of your life", confuse the meaning a bit...
    Anyone got any better ideas?

General CommentIts like a state of mind.
"I see youve found my underground,
Help yourslefs to guns and ammo"
This is like saying I know youv'e got inside me, but just take whatever you want or need.
"Nothing here has ever seen the light of day
I leave it in my head"
This is like just verifying that it is in her head, but this person has found a way in.
The whole "First day of the rest of your life" Is just like saying now youv'e been in my world (head) your stuck with me, and its great! Its your new life, being with me.
