"Changeless" as written by and Scott Andrew Milstead Terrell H. Clark....
Call my friends to share some wine
To share some laughs, and last goodbyes
My photographs of these years
Will make me laugh through the tears

What are the odds, what are the odds?
This ends and we don't meet again
What are the odds, What are the odds?
That I will miss your smile

Take awhile! Take awhile! Take care and
Fly away and see the world
Take awhile! Take awhile! Take time and
If you need rest, I'll keep your nest
Changeless

Let fondness be our souvenir
To keep it warm, we'll keep it near
Otherwise with no heart to recall...
A memory's just a memory after all
I will not leave this pulse alone
Though it may take the long way home
I will not wait until the end
For my applause for you my friend

What are the odds, what are the odds?
This ends and we don't meet again
What are the odds, what are the odds?
This ends and we won't meet again
What are the odds, What are the odds?
That I have missed your smile

Take awhile! Take awhile! Take care and
Fly away and see the world
Take awhile! Take awhile! Take time and
If you need rest, I'll keep your nest
Changeless

General CommentI love love LOVE this song! The meaning is pretty obvious, I think - a "friends splitting up" song. The singer is saying goodbye and he won't forget his friend, wondering if they'll see each other again, so on. it's just a really pretty song.

General Commentthis would be a perfect graduation song if your entire senior class happened to have really good taste in music... which is next to impossible.

General CommentThis was a beautiful addition to a youth event.

High school thing, very influential youth were leaving...

    It was truely memorable....

(and then the song repeated.....and I wanted to kill something)

General CommentI think this is probably the best graduation song. I'm sure it won't be picked to be our official school song, but it will be *my* graduation song.

General Commentmy best friend and i listened to this song on the way to our graduation ceremony in '05. we were both silent (which is hard for us to do) just listening to the moving words. now i cry when i hear it and it brings back so many memories we made in high school and in college so far. and many more memories that are still to be made.

General CommentThis song brings out a lot of emotions for me.

It makes me realize that, although you may spend almost every day with them, there will be a time when you have to say goodbye to your dearest friends.

It reminds me that friends are one of the only things you can always rely on, through the thick and thin.

I listen to this song as often as i can, because it reminds me how much friends should be appreciated, I think many of us take them for granted.

General CommentI'm about to leave all of my friends for a year, and I relate to this song a lot right now because I'm going to miss them like hell. I'm the one who's going to "fly away and see the world," and while this is what I want and need to do, I'm scared of how much things will change while I'm gone, although I know it's unrealistic to expect anyone to try to keep things "changeless" for me. "What are the odds this ends and we don't meet again..." I don't know what's going to become of anything. The odds "that I will miss your smile," however, are pretty good.

General CommentGod damn this song makes parts of me inside really sad. It really is hard to believe that I'm already through high school and halfway done with college, and aside from a few isolated events, I'll never see most of my friends from the two places ever again after graduation. Of course, we'll all make new friends after losing our current ones, but it's always so hard to let go of what you've had for so long in exchange for the uncertainty the future brings. This is best song I've ever heard covering the "graduation/splitting up theme"- it does it without resorting to cheesy lyrics, and instead does an incredible job of capturing the emotion of that moment with the ever-present, droning bass line that underscores the entire song and smart lyrics. Well done, Carbon Leaf.
