"You Must Be Bleeding Under Your Eyelids" as written by and Simon Frank Grenehed Christian Thell Lindskog....
Her pain is a fog that he inhales
Puts down the phone, neck suddenly stale
It's just another night with a sad different song
Heard from somewhere now she sings along
Turn the car-key, back out of the driveway
He sees her face and he closes his eyes
She still believes the lies

Pretty pretty eyes with a darker tone
Another hour in front of the mirror now all the cars are shown
They say lets have another toast lets sing another song
She tries but the vine is bitter and the words wrong
She still believe the lies

When you see yourself you're seeing red
And it makes you blind
You must be bleeding under your eyelids tonight
You wait for something to break the mold
And all i can do is wipe the blood from your eyes
You must be bleeding under your eyelids

One tear in the sink, swallow the next one
Now out of sight but not really gone
I put the key in the door don't walk to walk through
Hang on the handle for a second or two
As the door opens i feel your sadness from across the room
And now for your beauty I'm lost for words

When you see yourself you're seeing red
And it makes you blind
You must be bleeding under your eyelids tonight
You wait for something to break the mold
And all i can do is wipe the blood from your eyes
You must be bleeding under your eyelids

Wait for something to break the mold
Before your eyes froze old and cold
Keep your ears close to the ground
Don't move until you hear a sound

General CommentEverything in this world makes us feel like we are ugly and worthless. We soon believe the lie. When we see ourselves we are seeing all of the flaws. When God sees us he sees beauty. So when we cry in self pity God can only wipe the tears from our eyes because he has already shown us our worth through Jesus Christ. Jesus has died for us all so God will see Jesus, Perfection, when he looks at us instead of our sin. basically there is no need to feel like crap because we are made in God's image and we are perfect in his site when we accept what He has given us, Jesus our savior. Very intelligently written song. Boggled my mind at first but through many events my faithful God has shown me what he was trying to. Definately buy Blindside's The Great Depression.

General Commentthis song is rather personal for me, because my boyfriend/fiance could very easily be the "he" in this song. i've come out of really bad depression over the last few years and i still struggle with what i look like. at one point i didn't recognise myself in the mirror at all and hated my reflection for being what it was - and hated my perception of myself even more, which is like "seeing red". seeing red makes you blind to what's really there, and believing the lies about yourself is all too easy.
the way this song is expressed is just beautiful - blindside is good at making songs that fit me perfectly where i am at the point in time i discover the cd, and they've done it again.
    bravo Christian.

General CommentI feel that this song is a guy singing to a beautiful girl. The girl in the story is obviously very depressed, and the guy sees that, but he can't help her. Like the song says, she's bleeding under her eyelids as a metaphor for having a problem that is out of his ability to help, and all he can do is be there for her.
