I just heard the world
Is breaking down into bits again
Tell me, what am I to do?
You just want me to stay here
So I'm just going to stay

The home, our last resort
I built a castle with an iron door
Lock the window, pull the shades
The hazed out sun won't help anyway

If the world is crumbling down
I don't want to be alone, no
Locked up in this place

I heard the world up late night
Holding my breath tight
Trying to keep my head on right
There's a chill in the air
Nobody could care how you're
Caught up in the fight of your life

Fear is bringing me here
The television got me seeing unclear
Bravery my neighbor, moved away
'Cause I don't need to be courageous today

And If that world is crumbling down
I don't want to be alone, no
Locked up in this place

When I heard the world up late night
Holding my breath tight
Trying to keep my head on right
There's a chill in the air
Nobody could care how you're
Caught up in the fight of your life

I heard the world up late night
Holding my breath tight
Trying to keep my head on right
There's a chill in the air
Nobody could care how you're
Caught up in the fight of your life

Nothing's gonna save me
I'm hanging from the nearest tree
Nothing's gonna save me
I'm hanging from the nearest tree

When I heard the world up late night
Holding my breath tight
Trying to keep my head on right
There's a chill in the air
Nobody could care how you're
Caught up in the fight of your life

I heard the world up late night
Holding my breath tight
Trying to keep my head on right
There's a chill in the air
Nobody could care how we're
Caught up in the fight of your life

When I heard the world of late night
See I'm holding breath tight
I'm trying to keep my head on right
There's a chill in the air
Nobody could care how we're
We're caught up in the fight of our lives

I heard the world of late night
Holding my breath tight
Trying to keep my head on right
There's a chill in the air
Nobody could care
We're caught up in the fight of our lives

The music for this song is intense. I love the beat and the guitar and the way he sings it. Everything is perfect. I don't know why more people haven't commented.

For me it reminds me of those times you are flooded with memories at night right before you go to bed. Finally when you lay down to rest after a hectic day and you can't get away from the things that plague you during the day. Every problems is magnified because it's preventing you from the very peace you long for all day. I heard the world up, late night...

To me this is all about the world around you over baring you to the point were you can do nothing but collapse under the weight. You do everything you can to try and save yourself from yourself but you just can't.

Personally i think this a great song to listen to after your girlfriend breaks up with ya... haha...

This song reminds me alot of September 11th because I almost lost my dad. This also has a lot to do with the apocaplse and the world bearing down.

This song to me seems to talk about a horrible ordeal someone may be going through in their life. And you feel as though no one can be their for you, regardless of what may happen..."Nobody could care, how you're caught up in the fight of your life." Trying to stay focused on whats important but the one thing will not leave your mind.

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

Dreamwalker
Silent Planet
I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.

Head > Heels
Ed Sheeran
“Head > Heels” is a track that aims to capture what it feels like to experience romance that exceeds expectations. Ed Sheeran dedicates his album outro to a lover who has blessed him with a unique experience that he seeks to describe through the song’s nuanced lyrics.
