"You and I" as written by and Stevie Wonder....
Here we are on earth together
It's you and I
God has made us fall in love, it's true
I've really found someone like you

Will it say the love you feel for me, will it say
That you will be by my side
To see me through
Until my life is through

Well, in my mind, we can conquer the world
In love, you and I, you and I, you and I

I am glad at least in my life I found someone
That may not be here forever to see me through

But I found my strength in you
'Cause in my mind, you will stay here always
In love, you and I, you and I, you and I, you and I

In my mind we can conquer the world
In love, you and I, you and I, you and I

General CommentOne of my favorite songs...ever.
His voice is like butter and the lyrics are so solid;they're so sure that true love has been found and that it's never going to go away.

General Commentthis song is about finding someone you want to spend your life with, but you feel a little hesitant because it never really happens the way you want it to be.

i think the middle portion talks about the idea of loss, either through separation or through passing away. but the feeling of love can last way long after one has lost the other.

General CommentStevie Wonder originally wrote and sang this song in the early 1970s. It's interesting to note that Michael's version leaves out 3 lines of lyrics.
The three lines that were omitted are:

"I only pray that I have shown you a brighter day,
Because that's all that I am living for, you see,
Don't worry what happens to me."

Either way, it's a fantastic, emotionally charged piece of music.
