"Evergreen" as written by Barbra Streisand and Paul H. Williams....
My evergreen
you are always gonna be
no winter winds
can take you far from me
those tides of time
have carved a few new lines
oh but they've never changed my mind
my evergreen
beside me you will be
when all the world was cold and golden
your colours ceased to bleed
oh my evergreen
you are always gonna be gonna be
keep on, keep on
cause your season's gonna come
when all these storms have passed and done
this distance will be gone
and I swear we will be one
when this race has all been run
and I stole to see the hail
falling down in through your hair
through your hair
oh my evergreen
oh you are always gonna be

General Commenti love this song. the entire Fitzcarraldo cd is amazing.

i think this could be about someone he loves, and he will never stop loving them no matter what. it will last through everything, like and evergreen.

General CommentYou've definitely got it spot on there RubyFalls.

It's about a love, for a friend or for a lover, that will never, ever, ever die, no matter how far apart you are from them, no matter how much time passes, and no matter whatever else gets in the way.

    I like the lines :

    "those tides of time
have carved a few new lines "

Time is a very destructive concept, when you consider it.

General CommentThis song is about a bond that won't die even when they or one of them do.
