"Walls" as written by Chad Everett Gilbert and Lisa A. Loeb....
Pick up that piece of wood
Use it for therapy and nothing else
And i've been misunderstood
In a world of negatives, you find happiness
Happiness sit for days, eating nothing but my head
As i watched our world collide
Now that all you have is all you need
I give you all you need to, all you need to find

And i dont know, if you're holding on to what you've got
I'm so tired, i'll be holding on to this sweet love
I'll be holding on to this sweet love, sweet love
And now our world's colliding, and i feel walls, and i feel walls, walls...

And i don't know, if you're holding on to what you've got
I'm so tired, i'll be holding on to this, sweet love
I'll be holding on to this, sweet love
And now our world's colliding, and i feel walls,
And I feel walls,
Don't you feel those walls?
Don't you feel those walls?

General CommentI love this song and feel that it is about unrequited love from the perspective of the persona.

I think the lyrics have been typed up wrong though, sorry.

    Instead of:

"In a world of negatives, you find happiness
Happiness sit for days, eating nothing but my head"

I think it's supposed to be:

"In a world of negatives, you find happiness
Haven't been this sick for days, eating nothing but my head"

    General Commentwhoohoo first to comment...
i think this song is about a relationship OBVIOUSLY. about a relationship that is basically doomed, though he'll "be holding on to this sweet love", he feels "walls" like he's trapped. I love this song because it is so simple yet you can feel the emotion as he sings. I also love the violin solos... a very powerful song.

General CommentI think it means that the other person wants out of the relationship and doesn't love him anymore but he still does. He feels trapped because he still wants them but can't have them and can't get them out of his head. Much like indie said.

General CommentWow, I love the lyrics to this song.
I saw them for the 4th time on Saturday, and after all the years they still manage to amaze you with these mysterious and quirky songs.
    I'm thoroughly amazed.

The animal rebellion tour is very interesting and if you haven't managed to grab a copy of the new Feed The Wolf EP, I recommend you do.

General CommentI don't know why everyone seems to think that it goes "Happiness sit for days". That does not make sense.

    I believe it actually goes:

"I've been this sick for days, eating nothing but my head"

When you're sick for days, you tend to not eat anything, wasting away (eating away at own head).
